Small update regarding commissions & my physical health (G)
Hey y'all, as some of you might be aware I'm currently recovering from a nasty tendinitis I got around June last year and after months of waiting, I finally got the call from my hospital to start physical rehabilitation. I'm currently halfway through the treatment but today my physician gave me some instructions regarding my workflow, I won't bore y'all with the details but I'll share the basics because it'll impact the speed at which commission will be done.
First, for those who don't know, I'm a full-time Sculpture Specialized in Show Bussiness student, which means 90% of my classes consist on me going to different workshops to do manual, repetitive work. I got injured during one of these workshops last year, and I can't afford to slow down too much on them since I'm graduating soon and my end-of-degree project is right around the corner.
I also work part-time during weekends as an illustrator, and occasionally I lend a hand with a catering side bussiness my folks have, which puts additional strain and fatigue on my wrist.
To put things shortly, she said I need to take way more breaks and slow down whenever I'm working, both at home and at school; this means mandatory breaks, stretches and physical therapy. She also said if I don't take the time to properly heal now it might evolve into chronic tendinitis and I don't intend to let it happen.
This doesn't mean I'll stop working on commissions, just that I'll be slower with them. Weekends will still be dedicated to my due commissions and updates will be given via Trello as usual, I won't be going on hiatus so don't worry :]
Thanks for reading and for understanding <3
