sorta kinda life update (moving out next year hopefully?)
+ some things that i don't really need to tell any of y'all, but i feel like telling y'all anyway
TL;DR:
>Money would be appreciated, I accept donations (https://ko-fi.com/devv_rm)
>Regular commissions won't be announced, poke me in private if I'm open for something or not
>Aiming to move out next year, if possible, hence the need for money
>Sticker YCHes will open once more early December, maybe in January too
And for some more in-depth information:
So, the reason why I explicitly mention that I do need money is literally related to moving, yeah. I've been drawing for 11 years, my wrist is starting to finally feel it, my mental state is DEFINITELY feeling it, I'm burning myself out and work stupidly hard on art for less than a minimum wage of my country (Poland), so it's about time I found a normal job instead to sustain me, right? Well... Nearly 17% unemployment rate around here, and it only has increased recently. So, the only way for me to have a normal life is to move out, but to move out I still need money, so... I'm still forced to do art for profit, to one day hopefully move out and find some gainful employment (without any prior job experience to list, cuz I never even could find a job here, lol). Things are ass, I'm trying my best, it ain't quite good enough to go all the way, might as well mention that you can toss me a bunch of money if you'd like, without anything in return, even if I'd rather "do my job" and take your commission instead. Mental health taking a dip isn't conductive to more artistic output, after all.
Thought I'll also just quickly outline what y'all's money will primarily go towards, if y'all toss it at me (or if I make an inflation drive... Do let me know if you'd actually be interested, I'm hesitating to even start one because I feel like no one would give a fuck), just for clarity's sake, even if I have absolutely no obligation to tell you all about it:
>A laptop. Mobile workstation/backup device in case something happens with my PC and it eats shit would be brilliant, I've had the displeasure of experiencing my PC fail earlier this year, and my PC is still where my income comes from... Unironically the main source for my burn out lately. Might also be useful if someone wants to give me some random DJing opportunities for money around this little shithole place here.
>A car (and a driver's license), if possible. Far easier to buy some cheap car, make sure it can do a trip across the country and just pack everything I need into it, take it there myself, no worries of transporting it via third parties, no need to try and find someone to trust with that, no dependency on my family to be onboard to help me out.
>Just a large stockpile to have enough to live off of for about 3 months, AT LEAST, "just in case"
>If artist alley at NFC goes well above expectations, if all other things are also on-track and good - probably also helping me fund my Eurofurence trip, to maybe sell some more things there if I can. Especially partial fursuits, since I'm gonna be working on that finally over this winter... And if I have nothing to sell, and I can somehow make it - might as well, right?
Next NFC finances are pretty much secure by now, anything I earn will literally go to the above goals now. Even if I get a full-time job, I'll keep on drawing probably, just a lot more relaxed about it, a lot more for myself, with commissions in-between if I ever feel like I want some extra money, probably. Just not gonna announce them "in public" for a while anymore, seeing the economics around the world go down, art being kinda the last thing on more and more peoples' minds, if anyone wants something - just ask, I'll see if I can take it with everything else going on in my life. Especially since I've started streaming lately (mondaysandthursdaysat9pmcet https://www.twitch.tv/devv_rm), just to try and force myself to take some breaks in between everything I'm doing.
That's all, for now, perhaps, hopefully, a.
