This is a group for those amongst us in the fandom interested in posting and sharing all sorts of art directly influenced by historically established folklore, childhood moral tales meant to keep children in line with scare tactics, and religious mysticism and mythology. Because it is super rad.
From time to time I will post journals and feature artists and favorite artstuffs and what not! If you watch this account and have suggestions on things that I am not aware of, please enlighten me so we can all share in more folklore.
If I have wronged you in an unforgivable way at some point through maintaining this group, please send all challenges to duels to me at
or if you just would like to advise me on better ways to maintain the group that would be cool too.

A collection of folklore things (G)
I'll add to this as I come into acquisition of more reference stuffs on the web.
The Obakemono Project - http://www.obakemono.com/
This is a pretty hefty collection of different japanese folklore.
Compass Road Cultural Crossroads - http://www.compassrose.org/folklore.....-Contents.HTML
This link contains a nice collection of all sorts of cultural folklore and what not.
American Folklore - http://www.americanfolklore.net/
Sometimes I forget, even though I am american, that even we have our own collection of folklore :3
Sacred Texts - http://www.sacred-texts.com/index.htm
Man, this place has so so so many old books of folktales and mythology and all that jazz. In fact, it might well overlap most of the links I've already posted. Oops.
Last, for now. Reynard the Fox - http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_H.....ynard_the_Foxe
This is incomplete as of yet, but Reynard the Foxe is a pretty important part of folklore for furries. At least, I think so. In fact, I should probably add Reynard as an icon for here to use instead of a cut out from a painting of Wodan's Jagd.
