Hello, there! I'm Khali, the Barbados Blackbelly Ewe. I am an aspiring artist that has been away from drawing and creative pursuits for several years. I've finally recovered that drive to create so I'm knocking off the rust and getting back to learning. I'm a perfectionist, but I think I'm finally learning to force myself to let go of that. A finished piece is better than one you never complete in pursuit of perfection. I also lack confidence, but I'm working to fix that, as well.
My first adult comic, April Showers is finally releasing! Find it Here
The comic will be updated each Saturday.
Some things I expect I'll commonly be drawing are "ferals", characters having a wee, and maybe the occasional adult diaper (I don't do baby fur. Not my thing). If things like that aren't your thing, you're more than welcome to mosey on down the trail.
If you enjoy my work so far, please consider donating to help me with vet bills. I can't express how grateful I am for any help I can get. More details can be found here: Donate Info. Thank you. Stats

I've been debating whether I should make this journal for a little while, now. I suppose I should.
First off, I want to thank all of you for joining me on my little journey back into making art again. I greatly appreciate each watch, comment and fave. All of the kind words, encouragement and eagerness to see more of my silly scribbles means a great deal to me. I also want to offer my deepest and most sincere thanks for those who have so generously donated to support me along the way. It has been overwhelming, and I truly can't thank you enough. Your support has been an immense help and relief to me.
I've been very pleased that so many have been enjoying my first attempt at making comics. April Showers has been a huge and challenging undertaking, and I feel I have learned and grown a lot along the way. I'm looking forward to continuing to improve my skills and learn more for use on future projects. There's just a few pages left until we reach the conclusion to this wet little adventure.
That being said, I wanted to let you all know that there is the possibility that I might wind up taking a short break from AS before it concludes. I really want to stick to the weekly posting, but I have a great deal of things on my plate right now. I've mentioned before that my German Shepherd, Tempest suffers from severe allergies that require her to be on expensive food and medication. She just had another bad flare up and an ear infection that required another costly vet visit and more meds. She's responding well to the treatment, though it is slow going and more visits will be necessary in the near future. Recently I reached the point where I was able to switch from my own health insurance over to my employers plan. It's through the same provider, and though the coverage is a little worse, it's supposed to cost me almost half what my old plan was. Unfortunately, despite having canceled my old plan before the 1st of the month, I was still charged for my old plan. Not only that, but they somehow double charged me, which brought me dangerously close to overdrawing my bank account. I'm down almost $1000 and of course, trying to get them to return my money has been a battle that I don't seem to be winning. They are perfectly comfortable dragging their feet while I struggle to keep my head above water. As such, I'm having to put in as much overtime as I can get in order to stay afloat. Unfortunately this limits me to a couple hours a day in which to take care of myself and maybe work on my art. On top of that, there are many other things I'm dealing with. My car has been struggling for a while now, but I can't afford to take it in. My wrist was destroyed in a work accident years ago, and trying to work on cars is extremely difficult for me, even if I had a clue what the problem might be. I continue to suffer from severe undiagnosed nerve pain in my leg, and lately I've been having a lot of trouble with my one good arm going numb out of nowhere. The doctor wants to do an MRI, but even with insurance, that's beyond my means at the moment. Especially with my current insurance issues. The list goes on, but suffice it to say, I'm exhausted. Every time I feel like I'm making progress in life, something else comes up to drag me back down. I hate the idea of breaking my posting schedule so close to the end, but with everything going on, and my limited time to work on art, I wanted to let you all know of the possibility. I also have a couple of holiday pieces I want to do, but have yet to decide which to focus on.
I wrote this journal to let you all know my situation at the moment, not to beg for money. I know things are tight for everyone right now. We all have our problems we're having to deal with and I'll find a way to get through mine somehow. That being said, if any of you are so inclined, have the means and are enjoying my work so far, I am accepting donations through my Ko-Fi, which can be found HERE. Your support is deeply appreciated, and allows me to spend less time at work, and more time creating sexy ferals to share with all you lovely people.
Once again, thank you all so very much for everything! I'm excited to continue sharing my creations with you and to see where this journey takes me. Happy holidays!
