Good evening, I'm Garg. I make mods and games based around content I like.
As of April 1st 2022, I'm also now open for 3D model commissions for Arma 3 (Unit + Uniform/Face), VRChat (Avatar), or Garry's Mod (Playermodel + Ragdoll). Here's a form with illustrated prices if that interests you in any way: https://forms.gle/UPtvmPg1UAX3GB8b6
I'm the sole developer of Toupei55 (a game I never really intended to release, but did so at the request of certain friends), and have been working on an open-world milsim-ish RPG called Pelted Warfare since late 2018. Due to the project repeatedly failing to meet my standards of quality, it has undergone three iterations and design documents, with many transitional periods between the iterations. The current, third one, is being written in C# and uses a custom game engine called Ruff Engine, which aims to provide an API similar to UnityEngine's, while using a file structure similar to Source Engine for moddability, and using a model format similar to Real Virtuality's.
"Even though I have got nothing to say, I still desire to be heard."

And now for something completely different: things I would like changed about my city, and my country.
1. Cycling paths running in parallel with the BR- highways, like BR-101, to provide a more sustainable, long term, and extremely cheap form of transportation for the lower classes and the young, who may not want, or be able to afford, a motor vehicle. In general, we should discourage people from using cars, or at the very least highly encourage carpooling, public transport, and alternative transport.
2. Looser restrictions on the transport of bicycles within trains and the metro. As is right now, they are only ever allowed during the late evening hours and on specific days. This almost entirely rules out the use of bicycles for medium or long distance travel (30+km) and forces people into buses or cars, worsening the already terrible issue of traffic along the valley between the Nova Iguaçú volcano and Pedra Branca.
3. Remove the application of fines and removal of civil rights from those that abstain from voting during election cycles. As is, anyone unable to justify not voting loses the right to obtaining a passport or identification document, to get a loan of any kind, to participate in a public tender of any kind, to study in a public school or university, to serve in the military, to earn a government salary, to run for office, or to obtain any document pertaining to diplomatic offices.
The last few are fairly irrelevant to the working class, but the rest are very much targeted at harming said working class, especially the homeless or the rural lower classes. Do note that these rights are only removed for as long as they haven't paid the fine, of course, and that the fine is always insignificantly small (e.g. R$ 3,51), meaning that anyone with an internet connection, any sort of income, and free time, like yours truly, is unaffected. It really is just a way to put 'the poors' in their place - it serves no other purpose that I can see.
4. Nationalise public transport, and all third-party legal monopolies. Not by nationalising existing companies, but by creating government-owned and controlled companies that can compete against the private sector. Companies like the ones that run our train system or many of our bus routes are clearly incompetent and would be destroyed by any sort of competition that provided actual quality service, which would in turn encourage them to improve their service.
Light and Enel are a similar story; they constantly allow entire municipalities to fall under complete darkness and into disrepair, charge an absurd premium, label low income areas as "high use" areas that are obligated to pay more for the same electricity, and try their best to discourage independent attempts at clean energy generation like solar in order to keep their monopoly and continue raising profits.
5. Remove lobbying. It's a cancer. Get rid of it. That's it, that's all I have to say on lobbying. Not much to say there that isn't patently obvious.
6. Implement Universal Basic Income funded by publicly owned profit driven companies, AND by taxes on the elites and their companies. Alaska does it, you don't see anyone talking about how nobody wants to work there anymore, because at the end of the day, even if someone has money, they'll usually want more of it. Provide more jobs for people, make the job market an actual free market with companies having to compete for people.
It doesn't matter if you have great worker's rights laws if most people can't find work in the first place, and those that do feel so afraid of losing their job that they just allow the company to trample over said rights. Allowing people to exist without needing to work to do so would be a great step towards fixing that. And it'd help <<the economy>>! Just make sure it doesn't encourage people to procreate on mass in order to get more UBI, we already have more than enough people here, and in general, honestly.
7. Create more housing! Minha Casa Minha Vida is great and all, but 4.785 is a pitiful number considering our population and population growth. The government has more than enough money to house the entire population, and we have one of the biggest land masses in the entire planet. Yet, we still have a massive homelessness problem, one that's swept under the rug via pointy rocks under overpasses, misshapen park benches, and police action.
8. To that end, it's okay to spread people out, not everyone needs to live in Rio, Minas, or São Paulo, we already have 40% of our population concentrated in these. You just need to have more places where people can buy groceries, work, etc. As long as everyone isn't going to the same place, the load on traffic and such is much lower. Of course, it'd require basic sanitation, electricity, and asphalted roads to be provided to these new mixed use developments, which the government can't even provide to existing settlements.
But a few 5 or 10 floor apartment blocks with stores of all kinds at the bottom floors, maybe even some office spaces, can go a long way. Remember, urban centres are arbitrary, they can be made to occur via induction. Just look at the Polo Industrial de Manaus, and look into how cities in the ancient times were originally founded, and why people decided to live in them. It can be done.

Gallery emptied. Commissions open. PW still in developmen...
If you're wondering where everything in my gallery went, it's now in Scraps. I only deleted one, and it won't be missed. Sorry for any confusion.
In place of what was, I'll be populating it with some 3D character models. Some practice, some commissions. You'll notice that I edited my user profile to include a link to a Google Form where you can commission a character model from me. Most of the info one might need is linked there, in the Terms, so I won't repeat it here. If you're interested, check the link. It's something that I've found I'm relatively decent at, and enjoy doing, so I'm gonna do it. Price can be negotiated to be lower than what the form says.
Now, if you're wondering what happened to Pelted Warfare, well... it's.. still in development. In fact, I kind of had to change the art style of the game for a few reasons, which means all the art I had made until now (models of characters, weapons, UI work, etc) is to be scrapped and replaced. I also started work on a game engine earlier in the year which is going.. surprisingly well. I'll make a proper, playable demo once I have one ready. For too long I spent prioritising game mechanics, physics, animations, visuals, etc. Stuff that could be shown off, yes, and might have brought attention to the project, but was either poorly thought out or didn't work alongside other things and ended up being wasted code. Case in point, oPW.
So far, I've done a rather terrible looking test player model, some decent looking trees, and some pretty good code in terms of emulating Unity's API - game objects, components, rigidbodies, that sort of thing. Ended up having to write my own physics too, since Bullet just wasn't performing well at scale - throw at it 500 dynamic boxes and it's fine, but throw at it 50000 *static* capsules? Nah, that's too much. I'm also making sure the engine runs on Linux with no need for installing dependencies of any sort, which is something I didn't pay any mind to for a good while; I'd go as far as saying I was somewhat hostile towards Linux and its users. Buuut having become one myself last year means my opinion has changed to a more neutral stance. It's a viable platform, even if memory management and page swapping are huge weaknesses of the system from my experience trying to run Insurgency Sandstorm and Arma 3 on Pop.
Now, I'm not a good programmer. In fact, I'd say I'm bad enough to say I can't even call myself one in the first place. I think the fact that the game still isn't finished, and that the code is the main part that takes up development time, goes to show that. Hell, often I find myself doubting if I'm competent enough to do it. Like, obviously I could've turned either of the three versions of the game into smaller games and sold them as part of a series, but would that have been worthwhile?
... probably, actually. It'd give more credence to my capability of completing a project. But now it's too late for that, and for all I know, the polished turds would still come out turds. The best I can do at this point is work on the game design. Not the mechanics, not the gameplay; that's the easy part. But the whole geopolitics system, what I've called 'war dynamics' in the past (and probably still will internally).
Basically... once I have more to show, I'll show it. Until then, I won't. I did post two or three videos of both the engine and a new dynamic music idea I had. The soundtrack for the game is definitely gonna change - those ambient tracks I did some time ago aren't going to be used anymore. Main theme is gonna stay, ending too, and the faction themes are still all perfect. Might license some Red Vox songs for loading screen and death themes depending on how contacting them goes, but that'll only come when I know I've got the money to do so. And to that end, I'll have the whole 3D modelling thing. It's not my dream, but if it funds the dream, then I say it's part of it.
