Alot Has Happened

As the title says, a lot has happened since my last journal. 



I have good news and bad.... Oh, so very bad... *takes a deep breath and continues*



At first I wasn't going to put up a journal until I could fill out my promises, but I... I just have to.



I will start with the good news. After years of trying, I finally have a job. As of three days ago, I work at Wal-Mart. I'm on 3rd shift, but at least it's a job.



Now for the bad news... Hmm... Where should I start? I guess I'll start at the earliest I care to remember. Only a couple days after Christmas last year, my Girlfriend had to go to the hospital because she had very poor response time. The doctors said that she had an ear infection and sent her back home. She was taken back to the hospital the next day and once again, they sent her home. She was taken to the hospital one last time for failure to show ANY response. This time the doctors raced her to the ER and put her on life support... She stayed in the ER on life support until January 3rd... When she passed away... I don't know the cause of her death because I was unable to ask... Since the day I finally realized this was not just a nightmare, I have been in a deep, constant depression. If it wasn't for my friends being there for me, I would not be here to write this journal. Even my parents tried to help me (for the first couple days after I bothered to tell them). Though I know a few of you may try to help me, I do not believe I will ever get over this depression. Even though I will not show it on the outside, the depression will always linger within me. Not even those who are here with me can see it unless I choose to show it. 



That was the start to 2014 for me, but was not the end of the sadness. I had learned that my mother had also been taken to the hospital early January. We learned that she had Pneumonia. At least that's what my father told me. What he did NOT tell me is that the left side of her heart is working at 15% what it should. She was scheduled to return to the hospital on April 1st (the same day as my job orientation) to see if she will need an operation. I have not yet called to check on her.



Third and last so far is that I learned one of my little brothers has "water on the brain". This can happen as either a birth defect or after a serious head injury. "Water on the brain" is just as it sounds. A liquid leaks from the brain and builds up inside the skull, creating pressure on the brain. This can affect motor skills, cause loss of memory, and eventually lead to death if action is not taken. The problem is that surgery can cause more damage because he is too young. He is seven years old.



That is all the news I have for now, my entire body is shaking as I type this, so I apologize for any spelling or grammar errors.
