I spent fifteen years lurking in the TF community and finally got inspired to try my hand at writing. What was meant to be something fairly quick has somehow turned into a novel.

Appreciation Post and Update
With the publication of chapter 40 of In the Shadow of Moonlight, the third full moon arc has been brought to a close. I'd like to take a moment to take a look back and talk about my plans for the story.
First, a huge thank you to all of our subscribers! I've already commissioned one round of art for the story and will be doing more soon. Second, a particularly big thank you to the Foundry's co-contributor, Nerius! Prior to him contacting me, my output had fallen to around four chapters a year. His encouragement and enthusiasm, including the creation of the first ItSoM art, led to the creation of the Lunar Foundry, the Discord and me getting my ass in gear writing the story.
When I started writing this story, I intended it to be relatively short story. I crafted the basic premise and put together a rough outline to guide the story. Then I started writing it and it took on a life of its own. After a couple of chapters I realized it was headed towards novel length. Then around chapter 10 or so, I figured I'd have to break it into two parts. That brings us to today.
The addition of Chapter 40 takes the story to date to a little over 127,000 words and the story has developed a very definite arc. In fact, I realized the way it had evolved naturally broke into three arcs. So, my plan now is the current story is the first book of three. I've recently firmed up the broad strokes of the plot for the rest of this installment and it's somewhere just past the midpoint. Books two and three are a bit more ephemeral currently, but I've started introducing elements that will important in them later on. So, if you're enjoying the story, be glad to know there is a lot more to come!
Thanks again and feel free to ask me any questions on this post!
