It hurts...

So my mate has giving me some sad news. He is probably going to move to Oregon with his sister to help her settle in & take a job offer there (from his brother-in-law).
He told me he only wants to be there 2 years, then he'll try to transfer within the company to be back in california.
I'm a bit crushed... and a bit afraid of what is going to happen. I've never had to deal with somebody I love this much moving away. I want to cry, but I don't want to explain it to my family & such.
