hi y'all!

I honestly don't use FA for much outside of buying and hosting art, I don't think this site was ever intended to have a social function whatsoever and if it did it does a bad job at it. I wanted to add a bit of an all-use journal to let people know more about me without having to maintain a constant presence here. Below you'll find a quick FAQ about myself and other places I'm more socially active. Feel free to note me if you have anything pressing and don't know where else to contact me. Ciao!

Q: Who are you?
A: I'm Arie! I became a furry around 2015-ish and started going to cons regularly that year. I grew up around Washington DC and currently live in Los Angeles, California. I speak English and French, and am currently learning Chinese and Spanish. I'm a trained anthropologist with a focus in museum study and presentation, but formatively I work in (American) politics with a focus in foreign policy, campaign work, and communications.

Q: How do you identify?
A: I'm trans! I started HRT in early 2020, and my pronouns are she/her. If you have questions about my experience as a trans girl or need someone to talk to about your own journey, feel free to get in touch!

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I really enjoy film, especially New French Wave and Docu films. Anything from Herzog or Fricke is a great starter for me. I'm outdoorsy and love hiking, surfing, kayaking, and urban trekking. I'm slowly getting back into photography with my little Nikon L35AF too. I blog sometimes about the intersection of digital culture and politics within furry on Substack.

Q: What's your social life like?
A: I go to a lot of cons and travel to see friends pretty frequently, and I'm usually out in the city or working on projects at home when I'm not.

Q: What are your social boundaries?
A: Don't be weird and get out of pocket.

Q: Where else can I find you?
A: I'm active on Twitter, and my AD Twitter that I use as a platform for my OF. I blog occasionally at my Substack. I mainly use Telegram for getting in touch and Discord + Steam to play games with friends.
