on this site, you can be as sexual and fetishistic as you like, and as long as genitals/nipples aren't showing, it's considered "SFW". have people forgotten what that acronym stands for? or does the average user here really work at a place where looking at fat, muscular, diaper-wearing animals spreading their legs, making bedroom eyes, wearing suggestive clothing, sitting on each other (/voring each other / stepping on each other / etc) is considered acceptable workplace etiquette?
this site is easily the most popular furry site in history. that very fact alone immediately disproves the "fandom not fetish" rhetoric. sure, there's safe art on here, but be honest with yourself. go to the homepage at literally any time, and there will be at least a couple of suggestive pictures. try to find a new artist who isn't a porn artist. you will have to look MUCH longer than if you accept porn artists. this implies that the "small minority" of fetishists plaguing this fandom is at least 50% if not higher.
i spend maybe 10 minutes on here per week, yet in the time i've been here, i've made 22 reports about porn that was tagged "safe". how many more would i find if i was actually active? are that many people really incapable of realizing that genitals, breasts, and sexualized children aren't socially acceptable themes? (i should clarify that, to their credit, this website's staff DO NOT tolerate cub porn -- when i flagged that one, they deleted the image. still, somebody drew it and uploaded it to the internet.)
what is the point of this fandom? i can't expect everybody to have the same ideas i do ...................... but surely over 50% of humanity is capable of appreciating animals in ways other than drawing them in fetishized situations? unfortunately i don't see the furry fandom recovering from its plague. the fandom NEEDS to gatekeep the degenerates and set up some real boundaries and standards for itself but it's shown over and over again that it refuses to do so, and in fact, financially incentivizes people to become degenerates by offering them lots of money to draw porn. yes, i have heard stories from people who don't want to be porn artists, but feel like they have to be in order to stay afloat financially.
P.S. -- fuck the "softcore porn" banner ads, too. can't even browse this goddamn site half the time because cleavage and animals making bedroom eyes at me are flashing on my screen.
