An Act of Reclaimation
It was recently brought to my attention that someone had hijacked my identity. This person had set up a gallery here at Fur Affinity in order to masquerade me. Yes, this is the same gallery, but up until now the person posting the artwork, writing the journal entries, and taking the credit was a nobody -- an imposter.
Everything this person posted -- the thoughts, the artwork, the feelings, everything -- was ripped directly from my deviantart gallery. Imagine my horror. I have never felt so defiled. To have someone claim your creations as theirs is akin to having your house broken into, and everything you hold precious taken from you.
The person in question is apparently a repeat offender. She does out of some sick and twisted sense of fun, preying upon one artist after another.
So I would ask you all a favour. Please keep an eye on your favourite artist's work. It's only because someone cared enough to ask me if I had set up an account here that brought this person's deviousness to my attention. I don't paint furry art. I love it, but it's not my forte. So why would I have an account in gallery that showcases primarily furry art?
But I will remain if you'll have me. I'll eventually get a selection of my art uploaded. I might use this gallery to showcase my more draconic works.
I would like to extend my apologies to those who friended this person, thinking that they were me. It is unforgivable that she used such fraudulant actions to garner your attention and care.
And finally, I would like to say thank you to the administration of Fur Affinity for wresting back control of this gallery on my behalf and handing it over to me to maintain. I truly appreciate their swift actions in handling this situation.
