Greetings, one and all! Today, I’d like to reveal a side hobby I’ve had going for a while now:

🔗 my YouTube channel, Blind Prophet Gigi!

It’s nothing special, just another let’s play channel in the sea of them. In particular, I only play games blind (games I’ve never played before nor seen videos about), hence the “blind” part of the username. I do very little editing, opting to record 25-30 minute episodes and, for the most part, upload them as they are. I tend to do a lot of rambling, stumbling over my words, and struggling to get my points out… but I have fun! I play one game at a time, upload daily once I start a game, but may have long breaks between games.

To date, I’ve uploaded 466 videos over 17 completed let’s plays — 15 blind LPs and 2 “intermission” LPs. I got sick after my 5th LP, but still wanted to do daily uploads, so I did something small that I wouldn’t mind being sick during (a Hollow Knight item rando). Now I do intermissions after every fifth LP! I’m currently taking a nice long break, as keeping up with my latest LP (Rain World: The Watcher, which was more intensive than my usual LP) for three months straight got me pretty burnt out on the whole YouTube thing.

It’s just a silly hobby, and I never expect it to grow beyond a hobby — I’ve been going for almost three years and only have 100 subs. :P It’s just a way to share myself and my gaming tastes with the internet. Plus, it’s fun to pick up a game and start rambling into a mic while I play. I do it more for myself than anyone else, which is probably why I’m still going after getting so little traction, lol. It’s also nice to feel like I’m doing something when I’m not motivated to work on art or writing.

However, what I really want to share here is not my rambling commentary or schweet gameplay. It’s the ART! Since I use the same thumbnail for each video in a series (with a number counting up), I make sure to pour lots of effort into each of them! My thumbnails are a big part of my channel’s identity, and I work very hard on them. I usually try to mimic the art style of a game or its promotional art — to varying degrees of success — and draw my channel mascot/fursona as though she were a character from the setting. For example, when I played Rain World, I drew her as a slugcat!

Yes, I have another fursona. I collect them. (She’s now added to the old 🔗 sona group photo! I wanna make a new one sooner or later...)

I kept BPGG separate from my Axiloci username just to avoid any unwanted attention about being a weirdo fetish artist. Buuut, you see, I treat my FurAffinity gallery sort of like my portfolio. It contains all of my art that I think is worth sharing. It’s slowly been grating on me that I haven’t been able to add my thumbnails, some of which I consider my best works of all, to that portfolio. And since my channel isn’t getting anywhere anyway, fuck it, it’s time to share! (Though I will be annoyed about my gallery being out of chronological order.)

I’ve got 20 pieces of channel art that I want to share, plus scrapped composition idea sketches for some thumbnails, and any further interesting notes about the art or my process. The titles will all start with [BPGG], and so will any future art that is specifically for my channel. I probably won’t be drawing any NSFW of BPGG, but never say never. (I have had silly ideas, lol.) This art dump took a lot of effort to put together, so I really hope you all enjoy!!!
