Thanks for dropping by!

Since you've bothered to look as far as my journal, I s'pose that means you're interested enough in me for me to oblige your curiousity and tell you some things about myself.
1) I'm a dude, hetero and happily mated, thank you very much. I'm not looking for a mate, nor a dallyance, no quick yiff in the broom closet, no, I'm not bi-courious, nor anything else that you may think of along these lines. Period.
2) I can't draw to save my life. Not even a stick figure, I suck at those too. I have been told I have a talent for story telling, and have tried my hand at writing...the rough draft of that effort is being posted here, in hopes to gather feedback from people who might just be interested in reading such a thing before I go and get myself hacked to bits trying to find a publisher. Don't look for me to post anything other than stories. Ever. If you want visual art, browse through my watched list, there are some absolutely fabulous artists there, and they work hard to create something for the enjoyment of others (or they wouldn't share them with us).
3) No, I will not at this time consider using your character in a story. We would need to have some kind of rapport before I would even start to feel comfortable enough to consider such a thing...I don't even use my friends' characters from the numerous RPG's I partake in.
4) Yup, I'm a gamer. Pen-and-paper or computer, mostly, though I am not opposed to live chat RP. I also play a lot of wargames, strat games, FPS's and the like. That's largely due to.....
5) I have an odd philosophy on life...I don't believe we are here to suffer, or be miserable, or any such. I was inspired by Shakespear..."All the worlds' a stage, and the people actors in a play..." It got me to thinking, and I think he was right. If we take that out a bit, look for a semi-logical conclusion...if we are all actors, playing our part, that means we are, in essance, attempting to amuse one-another. You, yes you, are therefore here for my amusement. I am here for yours. Some of you are more amusing than others, and the more amuing ones are the one's I like to make friends with. The less amusing ones....well, if I have to work too hard to find what about you amuses me, I'm just as likely to go spend time with someone from whom I can derive amusement easier. I highly recommend this approach to life, it has eliminated a LOT of the stress I experienced before adopting this outlook, and strangely enough, people seem to like me more for who I am now too.
6) I like the Toy Dolls' cover of the song 'The Final Countdown', originally by Europe. I give them props for the most innovative use of a kazoo in a mainsteam song, and if you havn't heard it, go YouTube it. Right now. Really. Especially if you are in need of a smile.
7) For those who must know: i am 6' tall, 177 lbs. I paractice the martial art form Ai-Jeet-Kwon, which I have learned from the styles' creator, and which has branded me a 'deadly weapon' in the eyes of my government, a position that has lead me to believe my governemt is run by people stoned out of their minds on crack, and precludes me from going -anywhere- by plane. Yup, I'm one of the 'random' folks who get pulled out of line and searched. Every time. Even if it's a layover, I havn't left the waiting area, nor touched my luggage, I'm still the guy who gets searched before boarding -every- flight. I live in the greater-Metro-Detroit area of Michigan, in the USA.
8) That's about it...since I don't even know who you are as you read this, I think I've already said enough about who I am, and if you desire to know more about me, then you'll just have to introduce yourself and get to know me better that way. If I am sufficently amused, and if i also amuse you, then perhaps we can be friends. You can never have too many friends, and, contrary to how it may look after reading this far down, I'm really a pretty friendly fellow.
