As I lay down to sleep, I think about him. The perfect image of his being
Placed next to me, a mirror of my own perception.
Tears staining the pillows, I blush at the sight of you.
Oh what will I do to have you next to me again!
My eyes close and I recall a memory.
This body memory of being tucked in,
The worries of the world washed away subconsciously,
The caring hand reassures me without me knowing.
All I can think of is living with phantom pain unique to my senses.
He is as clear as day.
The orange sunrise and sunset paints his aura beautifully.
The lavender dawn and dusk joins in.
Oh how they dance and hold each other gracefully!
The body memory sinks me further into peaceful rises and descents.
The small natural world reinforces its size and grandeur.
My eyes shut to reset for tomorrow, tears washing away today's worries.
He doesn't leave me even though he is back home.
The driving distance separates us, he is my sunset and sunrise.
It is comforting to keep his presence everlasting; it's only temporary.
The mantra of my days for life as I know it.
Slumbering and enjoying these thoughts telepathically I have reached the dream world,
Joining him for now but eager to come to our true home.
