Chapter 1: New comers
“Silverwind…” I heard someone said as I toss to the other side of the bed. “Silverwind… wake up, already.” Someone said again then heard a shout from the tent’s front “Let him sleep. He’s been up all night with his girlfriend anyway.” The servine next to me nodded and walked to the tent’s front and get out as I got out of bed and yawned then I looked around. The tent was supposed to be a mess but I think my teammates cleaned it out before they left. There were four colorful bed sheets on the floor. I looked up, there was my handkerchief, and hat and my sword lay out next to the tent’s entrance. My equipment was silver as the handkerchief deflected the light from the clouds above. I ran towards the tent’s entrance and grabbed my stuff. Then I went outside only to find Solarwind was next to me smiling at something. “Hey Solarwind. Nice snowy day isn’t it?” I started to say as Solarwind turned to be and gasped. “I thought you were tired, so we all left you sleeping.” Solarwind smiled, then added “Icewind and Frostwind are in separate parts of the village, probably looking around the place.” I smiled and replied “Thanks.” “You’re welcome.” and he walked away.
I looked around at my surroundings and sighed. The snowflakes danced in midair as they fall from the sky. The cold breeze air was blowing towards the trees’ branches as they rack back and forth. I walked on as I looked around. I was headed to the shopping center, most of the markets were closed for family play time, I guess. As I walked on, I see Frostwind and Bextra together. They were next to Shadowblood’s tent which in fact, I think, was closed because Shadowblood is sleeping. I ran up to them, smiling as Frostwind and Bextra turned around and smiled. “Morning, Silverwind. How are you this fine day?” Frostwind asked as I nodded then turned to Bextra “What are you two doing here anyway?” I asked and I added “You do know Shadowblood is sleeping around this time.” “Well we don’t have a clock tower or anything, right? Well… Bextra wants to become a bandit and been knocking on this front tent for hours.” Frostwind explained. “And…?” I prompted Frostwind who smiled “I told her he is sleeping. But she doesn’t want to listen. So here we are just waiting for the darn Shadowblood to pick up his butt and walk around for a-“But the front of the tent is opened and out came Shadowblood who said “Who says who wants to become a bandit?” Me and Frostwind gasped as Bextra squealed with excitement and ran inside. Frostwind looked at me and I shrugged and then turned to Shadowblood “Is there an assignment for us, to do?” “No. Not now. But Redstar has a surprise for you. Something from your old village, I presumed.” I nodded without any emotion and walked the other way with Frostwind following behind me. “So what’s this surprise he has for us?” Frostwind asked me as I shrugged and added “I guess we’ll just find-““Who in the world are those guys!?” Frostwind interrupted me and he pointed at the delivery truck. We stood around for a minute as we watch a servine and two Snivys walked out of the truck and walked inside the tent.
I sighed and began to walk as Frostwind followed me “Something wrong, Silverwind?” Frostwind asked as I nodded “no.” I said then heard something. We both looked up and we saw Redstar and someone else. “Redstar!” I shouted as Redstar ran up to me and with excitement said “Look I found another member for my team!” I looked at him and gasped, thinking “He wears the same equipment I wear also!” true; this new servine was probably the same height as me; he wears a silver handkerchief and a silver hat. I said to him “What’s your name, new guy?” But he just smiled and calmly said “First off; what’s your name?” “Silverwind.” I replied “Silverstar.” Silverstar smiled and I gasped again. Both of us at the same time were thinking “Are we even related?” But we both shook our heads and smiled. It was a long silence that followed as Redstar broke the silence saying “Silver-““yeah?” Both I and Silverstar said at the same time and then we both looked at each other grunting that we aren’t related and went our separate ways leaving Frostwind and Redstar to gossip about both of us.
“How can I be related to Silverstar?” I asked myself, shaking my head as I walked on “I don’t even remember that guy anyway.” I looked to the right and saw the same family walked away from their tent playing in the snow as they walked into the market. I smiled at them and turned away and walked towards Shadowblood’s tent and burst it opened. Inside were Bextra and Shadowblood as they turned to me and smiled. I walked towards them and smiled too. “I have some great news for you, Silverwind.” He said as I turned to him. “Bextra and I agreed that she will join you as a wind bandit. This is your fourth member!” I smiled and congratulated Bextra for making the team. Then I turned to Shadowblood and asked “Is there any… like equipment for her to wear?” “There is… but it’s pink.” Shadowblood replied as he pulled the second drawer out and grabbed the pink handkerchief and put it on the desk as Redstar and Silverstar walked into the room.
Both I and Silverstar looked at each other with dislikes. But he just looked away as Bextra walked over to Silverstar and smiled. Silverstar didn’t smile and turned to Shadowblood as Redstar said “Here’s my fourth member. Meet Silverstar.” I groaned and walked out of the tent still thinking about Silverstar. I didn’t happen to notice Bextra as she ran out of the tent with her hat on her head and smiled at me. “So… who’s the new guy?” Bextra asked me as I grunted with disbelief and walked a little faster.
Chapter 2: Team V & A new mission
The snow stopped falling as I walked towards my tent. I can hear laughers and screaming behind me as I turned around and watched the Snivys play outside. Then their mothers came out from the tents and told the Snivys to come inside. As they were heading inside, they groaned as I chuckled and walked back inside the tent. Only to find Silverstar standing around smiling at me as I grunted “What are you doing here?” “I was about to say the same question.” Silverstar smiled towards me as I asked confused “What are you going to say?” “’What are you doing here, Silverwind.’” Silverstar chuckled as I said “Just get out.” He shrugged and walked outside as I followed him with my eyes, then I sighed and walked towards my bed and sat down. A few minutes have pass as I hear someone coming in, I turned to entrance and smiled. But Solarwind wasn’t happy to see me as He said “Come, Silverwind. You got to see this.” I asked him “What?” But he just nodded and motions me to follow him. I get up and ran towards Solarwind as he ran.
We ran for hours until we stopped in front of Shadowblood’s tent. “There’s a message for us.” Solarwind said as he added “go in.” I walked inside the tent and gasped. It was my old time rival, Gold as she turned from her conversation with Shadowblood and smirked. “Long time, no see. Silverwind” Gold said as I grunted. “What are you doing here?” I asked but Gold continue to smiled and said “Nothing really.” I walked up to Shadowblood as he hummed and both Gold and me turned to each other and growled. Then suddenly, I heard someone outside coming in as we both turned to the entrance as Shadowblood smiled “great! You’re here. Let’s start.” I gasped; it was those two Snivys I saw when they were headed inside the tent. “You can’t be serious.” I whispered to Shadowblood who nodded and motion for the two Snivys to come forward. They were both wearing a black handkerchief with a black hat. Although, Shadowblood has many colors in his drawer why would he pick black equipment? I shook my head and stared at Shadowblood who introduced the new team.
“Everyone.” Shadowblood smiled, as all of us turned to the team “This is Team V. They’ll be helping us with a mission.” “Alright.” Gold sighed as she rolled her eyes. I grunted she never seems to be excited when there’s a new team.” “Introduce yourselves everyone so we can get a feeling to know each other.” “I’m Gold. Leader of the Raiders…” Gold sighed again and added smiling “… and Rivals with Silverwind.” She pointed at me as I stared into her. “I’m Silverwind.” I said, turning away from Gold “leader of the Wind bandits.” Although, we old comers never trust new comers, it’s in our handbook. I think…. “I’m Redstar. Leader of the Star team.” Redstar smiled. The female Snivy smiled “I’m Verona. Second partner of Vernon.” “I’m Vernon. Leader of the Team V.” “Great, now that we know each other. Let’s get down to business and Redstar break dance on the floor doing these crazy moves I don’t even know about as I turned to him and sighed as Shadowblood angrily said “Not ‘break dance’ Redstar. I mean let’s get serious.” “Oh.” Redstar said and jumped up from the ground and looked at Shadowblood. Then I heard someone giggling as I turned back and saw Vernon and Verona giggling and making faces at Redstar who waved at them and said “Thank you. You’re too kind.” I sighed again as Shadowblood said “Amen.” We all turned to him, silence was overlapping us.
Shadowblood took out the mail from the first drawer and opened it. Inside the mail was a letter as Shadowblood said out loud. “Dear Teams Wind, Raiders and Star.” But he was interrupted by Vernon who exclaimed “What about us!? We’re bandits.” “You’re just a newbie.” I said to them as they grunted. Shadowblood continued “We have a mission for you. Just come over to the guide right now and we’ll give it to you. I think this has to do something with that note you had the last two nights.” I gasped; I remember that note from two nights before it says in five words, written in blood ‘YOU’RE NEXT TO BE DEAD.’ I shudder at the sight of it in my head as I shook it out and continue to listen to Shadowblood who continued without interruption “… Also; that same note you’ve received in Shadowblood’s tent also appeared on Wigglytuff’s desk when I came through there to check on him.” “How the heck did whoever wrote this know Shadowblood?” Verona asked, interrupting as Shadowblood scowled to Verona who giggled. “From your friend, Sandstorm.” Shadowblood stopped and paused for a sec then turned to me “Do you have that paper?” I nodded and took it out of my bag and handed it to Shadowblood who exclaimed “I didn’t see this in my life! Where did you find this?” I replied without hesitation “On your desk. Just two nights after.” Shadowblood nodded and utter a spell so quick it was just a fraction of a second and we disappeared out of thin air.
Chapter 3: old friends (and good old Redstar)
We were teleported in front of the guide as we looked around as if trying to find someone. I looked around at my surrounding here. The grass disappeared and in its place was the snow as the trees swift to the sides. I turned to Solarwind who smiled and said “Let’s go. Sandstorm is waiting for us.” We were about to walk when Verona asked “Who’s sandstorm? Another Snivy who uses Sand?” I laughed and said “no. Sandstorm is a Flygon who is a sand spirit. Also he’s our friend.” Then Solarwind interrupted us “uh. Guys. We’re supposed to go now. Team Star is already ahead of us.” I nodded to Solarwind and we ran up the guide as Redstar knocked on the door. No answer, as he tried again harder this time. No answer as I said trying to break the silence “Maybe everyone is sleeping.” But Frostwind disagreed with me and looked at Redstar. Gold sighed and stared at the trees. No answer again as Redstar angrily shouted down as he head butted the gate “Open the darn door!!!!” He then hurt himself and fell backwards as Frostwind sneakered. I sighed and walked up to Redstar and grabbed his hand.
But he pushes me away as I stepped to the side only to be grabbed by Icewind and Solarwind as he walked back several times as Silverstar sighed and asked me “Does Redstar always does that? That’s immature. Grow up” I looked at Silverstar as he shrugged and looked away. Then suddenly, the gate started to open as Redstar charged towards it faster and faster he goes. Until he fell right into the black manhole and came a loud “thud.” as Pokémon from down below began to scream. Both I and Silverstar rolled our eyes and one by one we went down the ladder.
Once we found ourselves in the first room. I see Firestorm and a poison type Pokémon giving CPR. But not likely as soon as Firestorm breathes into Redstar’s mouth. Redstar jumped up into the air; his face was full of orange as he tries to hold the fire in his mouth and runs around, mumbling quickly. I could hear Solarwind laughing behind me as I walked up to Firestorm by the time he turned to me and smiled. “Hello, Silverwind. Fancy meeting you here.” Firestorm smiled as he looked up and saw a crowd of Pokémon “Solarwind! Icewind! Frostwind! Gold and team Star’s members. Wow. The whole gang is here.” He smiled at me after he done calling names. In the corner of my eye; I see Redstar drinking a glass of green water as he sighed with relief and walked up to me. “Better now.” He said as I pointed out “You’ve drank toxic water gas.” His eye balls were popping out of his eyes as he open his mouth and ran around in circles. I sighed as Firestorm smiled “Good old Redstar.” “Now then.” I changed the subject as Redstar hits the wall and faints. “What’s that letter about, anyway?” “What letter?” Firestorm asked as a chicken with a chainsaw comes out of nowhere and begins to chase Redstar as he runs around screaming “The mutated chicken are after me!”
“The letter that was written in blood, Sandstorm told me about it.” I answered back as Firestorm thought and thought and said “Nope. You’ll have to ask Sandstorm about that one. I don’t know anything about a letter written in blood.” He smiled as Redstar grabbed the chainsaw from the chicken and began to chase after it. “What’s with Redstar?” Firestorm asked, looking at Redstar as he surrounded the Chicken in the corner. I turned to Redstar and shrugged. Then as Redstar sawed the chicken in half as all of us went downstairs towards the second floor.
Chapter 4:
“What’s wrong with Redstar?” Verona asked as we reached the second floor, I shrugged and smiled at the same time then turned away from her as we looked for Sandstorm. Team V awed at the beautiful surroundings and began to race each other for one of the tables. “Split up.” I whispered to my team as they nodded and we all began to go in different directions. Solarwind and Frostwind went downstairs into the third floor as me and Icewind were looking on the second floor. Team star’s members, except for Redstar who was being chase by an army of mutated chickens upstairs, were just standing around doing nothing. I turned to them and asked “What are you guys doing?” “Standing around.” Bloodstar replied. Team V was also complaining “Can we go home now?” I sighed and walked up to Team V “no. and we’re stuck here together until we find Sand-““Found him!” Icewind shouted as he came out of the kitchen with sandstorm.
“What’s up Silverwind? Long time no see, eh?” Sandstorm asked me as I smiled “Yes it’s been a long a time. But that’s not what we came here for.” “Then what?” Sandstorm replied as I frowned “It’s that letter you’ve sent to the Snivy village. That letter says ‘you’ve found a letter similar to the one that I have.’” I explained, getting out that letter that was written in blood from the bag and then gave it to sandstorm who reads it. “Yup. This is the one I found in Wigglytuff’s room. But instead it’s different words than the one you’ve received.” “What does it say?” Icewind asked as Solarwind and Frostwind came upstairs and found Sandstorm. “We’re looking for you!” Frostwind smiled as Sandstorm smiled back at them and then turned to the paper I’ve gave to him. “The paper I have received says this ‘Your guide is next to be destroyed.’”
“Interesting…” I whispered as Silverstar walk up to us and took a glance at the paper. I turned to him and said nothing as I watch him think and think. Finally he said “Is there anything else besides these two notes?” Sandstorm nodded and changed the subject “The reason why I told you guys to come over here because there’s a mission I wanted you guys to do.” “What is it?” Solarwind asked as I looked around “There’s a mysterious dungeon that no one dares to go in. because at the end of it, you face the strongest Pokémon in the world. A Flygon” Sandstorm explained. Also the dungeon, before the strongest Flygon and after, is loaded with traps so watch your step.” “Scary.” Verona said in a sarcasm tone. “Not really. We can handle it! Cause we are Team V.” Vernon smiled “we are the bravest team in the world!”
They both took out their red swords and began to show their moves. I sighed and turned to Sandstorm who shrugged “new team?” I nodded “Bandits in training. What do you expect?” I sighed again and walked upstairs as my team and team Star’s member followed me. Sandstorm walked back into the kitchen and continues whatever he’s doing.
Chapter 5: Hunted joyous tower
“Well this is the place. The hunted joyous tower.” Solarwind smiled as I looked up at the tower. “Looks kind of scary.” Verona said walking towards Vernon who smiled and yelled “We’re ready! And away we go!” and Verona and Vernon ran towards the joyous tower’s door and opened it and went inside leaving the rest of us behind. Joyous tower is a tall gray tower with no windows. The sky above it was stormy with lighting striking at a distance above up. I smiled and walked towards the opened door and said “Let’s go.” “Right.” Everyone said and we all went inside. After Frostwind closed the door; we found ourselves in a maze as the rest of us groaned “Not again. I hated these mazes.” I turned to everyone as they turned to me and said “You’ll all know what to do, right?” “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just use the tracker to find the stairs which is hidden in this darn maze. You don’t have to tell us twice.” Gold replied almost annoying as I sighed and turned around grabbing my tracker from my bag. Then as soon as I got the tracker, Solarwind turned to Gold and taunted “Are you going to fly up to the top of the dungeon again?” “Very funny, Solarwind.” Gold scowled at Solarwind who sneakered. “I’m not falling for that trick again.
Then we all walked into the entrance of the maze but heard a rumble. We all look back at the darkness as the rocks began to fall from the ceiling. Then we saw it, “Toxic water! Run!” I shouted and we all took our paths. It was a two way path, my team and Team Star went to the left path as Gold ran the right path, the water split into two and continue roaring towards us. I turned to the tracker as we all ran from the roaring waters behind us. The map was complex. There are a lot of dead ends around the maze as I turned on the bird’s eye view and the map resized itself to show the whole map. I squinted at the map as we approach the three way path; it was orange with shading on it. As the water comes towards us at a rapid rate, we all took the right path, hoping that this is the right path and ran straight there. Redstar looked behind him and saw the toxic water behind him as he yelp and ran a little faster.
Then suddenly, the tracker beeps loudly for us to hear as Solarwind grabbed the tracker from me as we approached another three way paths. “Not again.” Solarwind sighed as we looked around, trying to find out the quickest way to get to the stairs. “Hey Silverwind, isn’t this what you predicted where the water will be when we were in the waterfall cave.” Icewind asked me as I pointed to the left and we all ran straight there. “I think so.” I replied, unable to think at this time as Redstar and Bloodstar was racing each other.
As we ran trying to be as step ahead of the toxic water, I turned to Solarwind who gave the tracker back to me and ran a little farther from me. We then reached a two way path as we quickly decided to take the right and ran straight there. The water went left and we knew we took the right path as we tried to catch our breaths. “That… was… tiring...” Frostwind replied as Solarwind looked around and asked us “Where’s Team Star?” “Uh oh.” Frostwind said as I looked at him as he added “They went the other way.” “They what!?” I shouted. “Team Star….” Solarwind laughed, “They should have followed us.” “Come on. Let’s go. We’ll meet them at the stairs… I hope.” I ordered and everyone nodded. We then followed the path straight ahead.
We come across a two way path as we took the left path. We walk straight there. Solarwind got out his sword and began to hit it against the wall as he said to me “Don’t you ever realized we don’t get that much enemies to fight against?” I nodded as Frostwind smiling “yeah. I notice that.” I smiled as Solarwind smiled and we continue to walk. “We have been walking for hours, now. Where’s that exit?” Frostwind asked, tiredly. “Not too soon.” I said, turning to Frostwind then we heard a yell. We all turned around and looked at the darkness. Then suddenly, a blizzard came blowing across the dungeon as the paths now turn to ice making it difficult to navigate on. Still we’re wondering about that yell as the snow drifted on our hats. We waited for minutes and minutes then we sighed. “No surprise there.” Solarwind said as we reached the four way paths again.
Then we heard a rumble as we turned to the left and saw Team star yelling their heads off as they were being chase by toxic water and… “Mutated cows & Mutated Chickens!? What is wrong with the world?” Solarwind yelled as I shouted “Run!” and we all went the opposite way. We ran and ran trying to get away from the mutated cows and chickens as they ran towards us. “First, the toxic water. Next, the noise and the mutated cows and chickens. What’s next?” I asked. We all arrived at the two way paths again as I sighed and without thinking went right as my team went left. “Darn it!” I cursed myself as the mutated chickens and cows and the toxic water began to chase after me. I ran and ran, yelling at the others “Don’t worry about me! Just get to the exit!” and I disappear as the animals and toxic water began to chase me.
As I approach the two way path, I looked behind me and still see the animals still after me. I turned left again, hoping that this will lead me to the exit gate. I looked back only once, smiling to myself as I see the animals turn right disappearing out of sight as I stopped running and began to walk calmly though the ice paths. But then, I heard this noise as I turned around looking at the black haze that appeared before me. I thought “That was never there a minute ago.” I shrugged and kept going. But I kept on hearing the same noise as it got louder and louder and I knew I have little time to get a head start as I started running “Why do this dungeon never let me catch a breath?” I thought as I ran and looked back. The noise started to get louder and louder until it sheiks. “Time.” I breathe and took a running start.
As I reach the three way path, the lights suddenly flickered. I gasped and ran right only to stop to see who is chasing me. I took the right path and ran straight there as I hear the monster shrieking out loud. Then the rocks began to fall from the ceiling as the lights went completely dark as I reached the two way path again and took the right. Then I see the exit room as I smiled and ran not trying to stop as the yelling continue to ring in my ear. I jumped for the exit and began to roll towards the middle of the room as I stood up and looked around.
“Silverwind!?” Solarwind asked as I turned around and smiled “Solarwind. Hey, you miss me?” I asked as Solarwind laughed “Not at all. The others are already here too.” “But where’s Team Star.” I asked as Solarwind shrugged “I don’t know.” We waited as I looked around the room. Gold was talking with Bextra as Frostwind and Icewind was standing around, waiting for something. I walked to the opposite wall of Frostwind and stood around.
About five hours later, team star and team V arrived inside the room at the same time as I smiled and me and Frostwind and Icewind got out of the wall. “I need a drink.” Redstar panted as he bent his knees. I smiled at them and said “We must go to the next floor.” “Right.” Everyone said and walked down the stairs as Redstar complained “I’m not going in there. Because I need a drink.” I sighed and looked up at the light as it flickers. “The toxic water is going to come here any second now.” I observed and looked at Redstar but only to find out he’s gone. I blinked and shrugged as I walked towards the stairs and went down.
Chapter 6: A bandit Boss fight
As soon as we arrive at the second floor, the dark haze got nearer to the floor as Frostwind asked me “Where did the haze came from?” and I shrugged and walked forward. Ahead of us was a straight ahead easy path that was covered in darkness. All around us was darkness including the abyss below. I took another step forward as the others followed me taking one easy step at a time. “Hey…” Redstar smiled, “This is easy.” As he got down and did the ‘dying fish.’ Team V sighed and complained to Solarwind “When is this going to end? It feels like forever.” “Shut you pipe hole, Vernon. We’re almost there.” Solarwind angrily shouted back as we reached the middle of the floor. Then suddenly we heard a rumble as all of us stops and looks around. Redstar got up and looked around too. We all looked behind us but Redstar shyly said “that was my stomach.” I groaned as Redstar added “I’m hungry.” “Well stop thinking about food!” Solarwind shouted as we heard another rumble as I glared to Redstar who said “That… was not me.” “Run!” Solarwind interrupted pushing be forward as I ran.
“The floor is collapsing!” Verona shouted as we reached the end of the floor. “That was a close one.” Frostwind gasped as I looked ahead of me. It was a square elevator, with the door opened out. I stared into it as everyone ran towards the elevator. I walked towards the elevator and went inside it, the others got on too. As Solarwind pressed a button that says ‘Top floor’ I looked around and stood on one of the benches. It was a square quiet room. There were five buttons in front of Solarwind as he hummed to himself. Then I turned around and looked outside the window. But the elevator opened already and we all went out the elevator.
“This place is scary.” Redstar said as we all looked around. There was nothing to see here except for the big red door that has two handles attach to it. I walked over to the big door and began to knock loudly into it. Suddenly, the door opened as I stepped backwards. The others awed and as soon as the door was wide opened we rushed inside. It was a dark one sided room; the lamp’s light was shining faintly as we all walked towards the center of the room looking around. There were three windows from both sides of the wall. The lamp was swinging back and forth very slowly as Solarwind asked me “What is this place?” then the fog showered on us as we heard laughing as we all looked forward. A door appeared out of nowhere, still close as I thought “Where that door did came from?”
The door opened gradually as we all except for team V took out our swords as Bextra squealed with excitement. Then when the door opened wide; we heard the laughter getting louder and louder then stop. “What’s going on?” Solarwind asked me as I shrugged, fixing my eyes at the door as the footsteps got louder and louder until we saw a figure. The figure looks like a Flygon, but with orange glasses and its wings outline are orange. The tail was divided into two colors, light blue and green. But I gasped slightly as I put my sword down still holding it as it says “Welcome trespassers.” The shiny Flygon smiled as he walked from the red door as he continued speaking “I’m Sandwing, a powerful Flygon bandit.” I looked at him as he continues smiling. On top of his head was a black hat, much like Vernon and Verona’s black hats. His mouth was covered by a black handkerchief. He said “If you want to get out of this castle?” He chuckled as I gritted my teeth. “First, you will have to defeat me. But…” and he chuckled again “It’s not easy. As you can see…” He began to explain as Solarwind sighed and looked around the windows. I stared at his weapon. It was a long metal rod with spikes at the end of the rod. I shuddered at the spikes I see. The spikes were sharp like a knife. He continues to speak “this…” He said, spinning the rod to his side with the spikes pointing upward “… is my cross sword. I can kill anyone with this weapon.” I looked past his sword and handkerchief. He was wearing a black cape as I whispered to Frostwind “What’s that cape for?” “I don’t know.” I tried to talk again but Redstar interrupted us by shouting “That cape is to cover your back naked side!” and Icewind burst out laughing. I sighed again and lightly swing my sword as I turned to Sandwing who was already frustrated. “Let’s fight.” I smiled and charged at Sandwing who looked at me and smiled.
As soon as I got close to him, I tried to swing my sword forward but he sidestepped to the side so quick, it was like I was moving in slow motion. He rises up his leg and kicked me back two feet next to Frostwind and Solarwind as Icewind charged to Sandwing. I stood up quickly and looked around. Redstar was already helping Icewind against Sandwing as they tried to keep him at bay. Solarwind smiled at me as I smiled back and used agility and ran to the wall. Then I ran against the wall looking at Sandwing who was busy blocking the attacks by Icewind and Redstar and jumped up towards the ceiling and ran to Sandwing. Then Sandwing started to use Sand tornado and knocked Redstar’s and Icewind’s swords to the ground as both of them were flung to the sides of the walls, fainted. Solarwind gritted his teeth and charged at Sandwing and began a series of attacks. Sandwing dodged or blocked most of Solarwind’s attack and jump backwards. Solarwind looked at him as Sandwing smiled. I jumped from the ceiling as Sandwing twirl around three times before he used fire from his cross sword.
As soon as I reached the ground, I put my sword forward and spilt the fire into two as Solarwind jumped back and smiled at me. Bloodstar was helping Icewind and Redstar to their feet as Sandwing stopped his attack and lunged at me, I prepared for his series of attacks. He swings his sword to the left and to the right trying to keep me at bay as I blocked his attacks. He grinned and jumped up again and I looked at him confused. He continues to smile and then suddenly, he began to clone himself. There were at least two clones he made as the clones charged at me. I had no time to catch a breath and the two clones began to swing their cross swords at me. I dodged and blocked their attacks.
Then I jumped up and looked away from the two fake Flygons. There in the corner of my eye, Solarwind was fighting Sandwing as they blocked and attack each other trying to get the advantage. I smiled and as soon as I touch the ceiling, I looked down. The two fake Flygons I was fighting with was already gone. Sandwing began to use Sandstorm, covering the dungeon with sand. I hear lots of yelling as Sandwing spears or attack my teammates. I jumped down to the middle of the dungeon and looked around. Then suddenly, I heard someone. I looked around trying to spot it inside the sandstorm. Then it lunges at me but I dodged it and jumped to the side. Then it tried again and I sidestepped it still looking around.
The sandstorm stopped as the sand drifted to the ground and I found myself face to face with Sandwing, who was actually tired from all that fighting. He has a scrape on his leg, it was bleeding a little. The little torn on his orange wing. I began to smile. Sandwing grinned faintly “This isn’t over yet.” Sandwing smiled as I readied my sword. Without warning, Sandwing charged at me then as soon as he got close to me, I began to swing my sword from the left. But he blocked it with his cross sword and we began a struggle there. “You’re good.” Sandwing whispered in my ear. He grunted trying to push my sword away but he can’t. “Tell me.” Sandwing began to form a smile as he break hold of our struggle and jumped backwards. “Just who are you?” Sandwing asked. He twirls his cross sword and put it behind him that the spikes are pointing down. “I’m Silverwind. Leader of the bandits.” “Ha… Silverwind.” He began to smirk. “I heard of such name before… with my twin brother.” I gasped. I tried to speak out the words “Do… you… mean!?” He nodded “Sandstorm.” I looked around and changed the subject “Where’s my team?” “Defeated. Thrown to the side of the dungeon.” He replied with a twinkle in his eye. “So… my team and I can pass?” I asked. He turned around and circled his sword forward and he began to open the red door. “You can pass.” He smiled, “But the next time we meet… It’s going to be a fight.” He snapped his fingers and he disappeared.
My team and team Star woke up from the slumber as groaning. I was left there standing, gasping for breath at the fact that Sandwing and Sandstorm are brothers. Solarwind looked around as I looked at him and smiled. He asked “Where’s Sandwing?” I shrugged and put away my sword. “The red door is open. We can go now.” I smiled as team Star ran towards the door, disappearing inside. “Great.” Solarwind smiled as Frostwind and Icewind walked towards the door. I and Solarwind walked towards the red door as I began to wonder “How is sandstorm and Sandwing related?”
Chapter 7: The twin brothers’ history
Suddenly, we appeared in front of the guide. I looked around. It was around nighttime, the sky was turning dark as the sun sinks from the sky into the horizon. In front of the sun was the guide, standing tall above us as if the guide is our king. We all walked up the white stairs. Neither of us spoke to each other as we climb higher and higher until we reached the guide. I smiled and looked for Redstar.
He was tired. He was holding his sword as he panted so deeply. I smiled and turned to the door of the guide and walked forward towards it. My team followed me and the door opened without any noise. “Does everyone know we’re coming inside?” Solarwind whispered to me. I shrugged as I replied back “No clue.” And I looked up. The moon was high in the sky together with bright stars. A shooting star cuts the sky and disappeared somewhere else. I smiled and turned forwards again and stopped myself. The others stopped too. The door was already opened. I took two steps forward and went inside the man hole and disappeared inside as the others followed me though the manhole disappearing one by one.
Once we were inside the first floor; I looked around. The first floor was quiet. No one was inside the room as Redstar shouted “Is anyone in here!? Hello?” “Maybe we’re at the wrong guide?” Frostwind suggest as Solarwind agreed and was about to turn back to the ladder when we heard someone coming up. We all turned around and gasped. “You again!?” I shouted. “Heh. Heh. Heh.” Sandwing smiled as he turned to us “Ah… team wind and team star. What a pleasure to meet you?” “What are you doing here?” Solarwind shouted as Sandwing smiled again. “Don’t you remember? I work here.” Sandwing said as Frostwind gasped. I nodded and said “I remember. You were that chef, right?” “Yup.” Sandwing smiled and sidestepped to the side “After you. I believed Sandstorm wants to talk to you.” We walked down the stairs into the second floor.
There we saw Sandstorm standing by himself waiting for something as I walked up to him. He turned around and saw me and smiled “I see you met my brother.” Sandstorm replied as I nodded “tell me. How are you two related?” “We were born at the same time.” Sandwing replied, “From Flygon village. I think it still exists after all these years.” “But wait.” I started to say as Sandstorm looked at me “What?” “Were you two bandits before you work here in the guide?” I asked and saw the fear in Sandstorm as he nervously flapped his wings and gave a weak smile. Then he sighed “I suppose that Sandwing told you, no?” I nodded, “Nope. He didn’t.” “Alright.” He said as he sighed again. “Yes. I was a bandit before.” And he walked into the kitchen leaving us be.
“What was that all about?” Solarwind asked me as I shrugged and looked at the silver door. Then Sandstorm came out of the kitchen. I squinted as he came towards us and dropped the stuff down. I gasped “Is this….” He nodded “My equipment. As you can see… I also wear a black hat and handkerchief.” He said giving a weak smiled to us. “But I don’t wear that black cape like he has.” “Why?” I asked as he smiled at me “I don’t want to look ugly with that cape on. “ “What was your weapon?” Solarwind asked as Sandstorm replied “You know Sandwing’s sword? The cross sword?” We all nodded as he sighed again “I…. also wield that sword too. But mine’s is black.” “You were a professional bandit!? Like your brother!?” I heard Frostwind gasped. It also hit me too; Sandstorm also wields that sword we face back at Hunted joyous tower? I stood up, shook my head and went downstairs as sandstorm said “Well… that history about me is over. I better go.” Sandstorm walked into the kitchen with his equipment and disappeared.
Chapter 8:
The next morning, I walked up to the second floor. By the time I get to the second floor, no one was there only my team was seating down on the blue stools looking at each other. I looked around; the silver door was creaking a bit back and forth. The walls were cracked and ants started to swarm around the cracks. I sighed and walked towards my team and sat next to Solarwind who turned and looked at me. Silence was overlapping us as we saw the sunlight appearing from the first floor above. Solarwind was the first to speak “What’s going on here?” I shrugged; it’s not like an emergency or something, right? Solarwind looked around and Frostwind was drumming his fingers on the table.
Hours have passed and no one has come to the second floor. I stood up and said to my team “I’m going downstairs.” “Wait.” Icewind said, grabbing my hand as I turn towards him. “What?” I asked, “Ever notice that silver door creaking a little? Something funny is going on.” Icewind said as I switched my gaze from the silver door to Icewind. I shook out his hand and started for the stairs as he yelled behind me. I then walked out of their sight.
I was in the third floor. The lights have been turned off as the wind blows gently though me. I shivered and turned to the job boards. “Nothing.” I mumbled as I turned around. I walked further and further in the third floor looking left and right at my surroundings, my sword in my hand. “It’s dark here.” I thought as I walked away from the stairs. There were broken pillars scattered around the third floor as I stood up, still shaken from the cold gentle wind. Thoughts began to form in my head as I turned back and started for the stairs. But just when I reached the stairs, I saw a note written in blood. It was pinned on the broken pillar to my right as I walked towards it and then took it out from the pillar. I read it. It says “This is your last chance, guide members. Get out of the guide or we’ll burn it down!” I wondered as I put the note inside my small bag and headed upstairs “What does the note mean “’Your last chance?’”
I went to the second floor and showed the note to my team. They gasped and Solarwind asked me “Where did you get that?” “Downstairs in the third floor. I just don’t know what they mean by last chance and burn it down. Do they really mean they’ll really go to do that?” I asked as Solarwind shrugged and said “Don’t know. But what’s really important is trying to find Wigglytuff. Where is he?” He looked around the second floor including that yellow door that was locked earlier in the morning. “Where’s Star team?” Icewind realized. I shrugged again “Don’t know.” “They must be here earlier before dawn arrived.” Solarwind said after opening the door of the yellow door. “What’s make you say that?” I turned around to Solarwind “Because… Wigglytuff is gone.” I gasped.
“How are we going to escape now?” Icewind asked as Solarwind returned to us. “Don’t know.” Frostwind said. I began to think, “Everyone is gone in this guide. Does that really mean….” I blinked and took out that note I found in the third floor. “It could be…” “Silverwind. Silverwind? You okay?” I snapped back into reality and found myself with Solarwind. I smiled and said “Yes. I think the raid is going to start every soon. We must get out of here as soon as possible.” “But how!?” Solarwind asked as I ran up to the stairs and went up to the first room. “Follow me.” I said and the rest of my team followed.
We arrived at the first floor. The gate was locked in front of us as Frostwind tried to pull or push against it. It wouldn’t bulge. I sighed and went looking around the first floor for the key. There was a bloody bucket sitting next to the stairs. The flares of the lights was off and hanging above us. Frostwind and Icewind sighed and went towards Solarwind and tapped him on the shoulder and suggesting stopping. Solarwind agreed and turned to me. “I guess the only way out of here is-“Then suddenly the guide began to shake.
Chapter 9: the race against time
“Run for it!” I heard Frostwind shouted behind me as we all walked down the first stairs. The ground was shaking as tumbles of rocks fall from above us as we arrived at the second floor. “Go to that yellow door! It’s our only way out!” I shouted and we all ran for the door, holding on to our swords as the rocks continue to fall from above. Frostwind tried to grab the yellow door’s handle and tried to turn it. It wouldn’t bulge. Solarwind tried again and it wouldn’t open. Then I shouted “Find that key!” And we all spilt up. I and Solarwind were on the second floor looking under the stools and tables and even that equipment of the kitchens and stuff looking for that key.
Frostwind and Icewind went down to the third floor. I ran to the silver kitchen and burst it open. The silver doors cracked opened and snapped itself out of the door’s entrance as I ran to the cabins and opened and closed them trying to look for the key. Solarwind ran in the kitchen after me and helped me look for it. Suddenly, the pans tumbled down to the floor as the ground shook even harder and then we heard something that worries me the most. Poison water.
“Frostwind! Icewind! Get out of the third floor now!” I shouted from the kitchen as we heard footsteps coming up the stairs. “It’s coming!” Frostwind shouted as I turned my back on Solarwind and looked in the other set of cabins. “Where did that key go? We’re running out of time.” I thought as I looked. Then I heard a shout, “Found it!” and I turned to Solarwind who has the yellow key. I smiled and we all ran back to the yellow door and Solarwind put in the key on the yellow door’s hole and tried to open it. The yellow door opened with a crack as we all went inside. Wigglytuff’s room was small and has lots of wet books. I believed that Wigglytuff and the others escaped here already when the water was rushing in. “No time. Let’s go!” Frostwind broke my thoughts as he ran to the desk of Wigglytuff. There was a book that Frostwind was trying to open but it wouldn’t. In the bind side of the book there were three keys. Each one a different shake, one of the keys were red with a square shape on it. The second key is green with a star shape. The last key is an orange key with a rectangle shape on it. I walked up to Frostwind and said “Look. There are three keys.” “…and a note.” Solarwind added as I turned to him. He was holding a torn piece of paper. “What does it says?” I asked as he said nothing. He shook his head “nothing.” I blinked and walked up to him and looked down. He’s right the paper has no words on it.
I asked him “how are we going to read it now?” “…and how are we going to put these keys into the book?” Frostwind asked as he jammed the rectangle key inside the book. “Let me see this.” I said as Solarwind gave me the blank piece of paper. I looked up and around the room. The ground shook harder as the water comes up from the third floor. “We’re running out of time. Silverwind!” I looked to the right and smiled. There was a candle lit up next to a window as I walked up to it and hovered the paper on top of the candle. Then words began to show. I began to read
“You see here before you three keys which has three different colors and three different shapes. Square, Star and rectangle. You want to open the book which has the same three shapes. The first hole is green and square. The second hole is orange and rectangle and the third is a red with a star shape. Fit the keys into the hole will make the book open, right? The catch is that, each hole must be a same color and shape in order to open the book. “I read.
“What… the hole must be the same color and shape in order to open this book?” Frostwind asked me as I nodded and he groaned “not another brain power exercise.” I smiled and walked up to the book and looked to the sides. Just like what the problem says ‘You want to open the book which has the same three shapes…” I began to think. “Just what is it talking about? This key…” I pick up the first key which was red. “…is a red and this hole…” I switched my gaze to the hole in the book. “…is green.” “What are you thinking, Silverwind?” Solarwind asked me as I turned to him and shrugged. Solarwind groaned and looked at the book. “There are three keys and three holes. Each hole must be a same color and shape in order to open the book…” He mumbled.
“wait.” I said, smiling as my team turned to me and asked “What?” “Where’s the water here…” I answered as they looked around and shrugged “There’s no water around this room.” They answered as I sighed again. “Why do you need water?” Frostwind asked me as I explained “These guys must be washables. So if you put water on it…” “It changes color!” Solarwind finished the sentence for me as I smiled again and turned to the key. I frowned and said “But you said ‘There’s no water around this room.” “Yeah.” Frostwind wondered as I turned to him. “Wigglytuff must have a bucket or water stashed in this room… Somewhere” I said but Icewind sadly said “There’s no water. I already told you that.” We fell silent again as the water rushes halfway into the second floor. “We’re only given thirty seconds to get out of here.” I thought as I stared into the three keys. “The water is already rising up halfway- wait… that’s it!” I turned to my teammates as they looked at me. “We all know there’s no water right?” They nodded, “So why not just rub them. They must be oily.” Solarwind looked at me as if I’m crazy but I’m not. I looked at the three keys again and picked the green key up and rubbed it. The others awed at me as the color changes from green to orange. Then I turned to them with an orange key. “So all we have to do is change the color?” Solarwind asked. “Why did we do that the first place?” I shrugged and continue to rub the keys until they turn to a different color.
As I rub the keys, Solarwind grabbed the keys and jabbed them at the key hole. After the last key was inside the hole, the book opened and suddenly we disappeared. “I think we picked the wrong book.” Frostwind said.
Chapter 10: Dream caster
“Silverwind. Wake up!” I heard someone said as I open my eyes. I looked up, Solarwind and Frostwind was standing on the sides of me as I stood up. “We’re home, Silverwind. Look around.” Solarwind smiled at me as I turned to him and then around our surroundings. It was dusk again here in the Snivy village. All the lights were off as the flags sway softly from side to side. I looked up into the night sky. There were stars that shine faintly a shooting star cuts the sky five seconds later. I smiled again and whispered “We have made it home.” Then I began to walk slowly until I heard a voice. Turning to the side, I saw Redstar together with his team running towards us. I smiled quickly and as soon as Redstar caught up to us he smiled. “Where were you guys?” Redstar asked me as Solarwind sighed and said “We kind of overslept in the guide.” The rest of us laughed and Bloodstar said “Come. You guys must come to the Shadowblood’s tent. Everyone’s waiting for you guys.”
“What? Now?” Frostwind asked as Bloodstar nodded and motioned us to follow him. Solarwind looked to me as I shrugged and followed him. As we were walking around, I walked towards Redstar and asked him “What happened to everyone back at the guide?” “Everyone got scared and Wigglytuff told us to go to his room and disappeared out of the guide. We all nodded and ran towards Wigglytuff’s room and opened the yellow door. Then we saw Wigglytuff sitting on his chair with his book opened and as he chanted we all, including Wigglytuff, disappeared from the guide.” He explained as we walk on. I also asked him “Also what happened to Sandstorm, Sandwing and Firestorm?” “Flew off into the sunset. Back towards their villages.” I nodded as he spoke and we suddenly stopped. “We’re here. Shadowblood wants to speak to you.” Bloodstar said and opened the right flank and we disappeared inside.
Once we’re inside, I took a looked around. Gold and Silverstar were looking at me. I quickly shot a glance and they back off continuing their conversation as I walk on. The books were scattered around the tent as Shadowblood glanced my way, looking displeased with me. I stopped in front of him as he stood up. Silverstar and Gold stood up too and walked out of the tent leaving me and Bloodstar alone. It was silent for about thirty seconds until he snarled “Where were you!?” “Sir, if you don-“I began but he stopped me “Don’t you dare call me ‘sir’, Silverwind. Only Team Star appeared. “But Shadowblood-“I said but he interrupted me again “Answer my question, Silverwind. Where were you?” “I overslept.” “Where!?” “…At the guide.” I finished and Shadowblood turned away.
I looked down, ashamed of myself of not returning to the guide together with team Star. All of the sudden, Shadowblood began to cry and turned to me “I forgive you.” I was stunned but smiled anyway. He smiled and walked around the desk and put a hand on my shoulder. “Go to bed.” “One question, Shadowblood. Where’s my girlfriend?” I asked Shadowblood who was shocked with surprise. I smiled. “I do… not know.” He said nervously and I turned myself around and went to my tent to sleep.
Around 12:00 midnight, I was in my bed twisting and turning around in my bed. I was sweating. My head was hot as I tried to push my blanket out of me. I was dreaming myself standing in the middle of nowhere, surrounding myself with purple liquid. I walked and walked until I heard a voice. I turned around and shouted “Who’s there!?” No answer as I turned around and was about to take a step when suddenly a ghost of my father appeared.
“Father?” I asked, gasping for breath. My father was at least three feet tall and he’s a Servine. He was wearing a ghost white hat and a ghost white handkerchief. “I… never seen you before. Tell me father. Is Silverstar and me brothers?” My father nodded and spoke in a booming voice. “And you have a third brother too, Solarwind. Both you and Silverstar are brothers born from the same mother.” He chuckled, “You always fight over almost everything like food, toys and even fight each other using plastic swords.” “It seems a good life, back at the old village.” “Tell me!” I shouted, “What’s the name of the village me and Silverstar was born!” He nodded again, “It’s called the Bandit Snivy village.” “Bandit… Snivy?” I asked, almost stunned as he nodded again and continue “But the bad time has come when the warriors came to our village. They were slaughtered Servines and Snivys alike. Even parents of the children. Then they took the children from the village and make them do slave work. It was cruel.”
“One last question.” I interrupted him as he looked up and smiled faintly “How did me, Solarwind and Silverstar come here?” he nodded, “I ran as fast as I can, trying to get away from the warriors that were in pursuit of me. I came across a river and three brown baskets. I took the three brown baskets and put each of you into them. Lastly after I was killed, I took one last glance at the three of you and smiled. I died peacefully.” And then he was gone. I woke up, still sweating with heat as I stood up and opened the tent’s flank and looked up into the sky. “Father…” I whispered, trying not to cry. Another shooting star cuts though the sky again and I smiled “Rest in peace.” I turned around and gasped. Silverstar was behind me together with Solarwind.
“I guess….” Silverstar said, trying not to gaze at me as I smiled and tip my hat. Without saying anything, I went up to Silverstar and hugged him. “So.” Solarwind asked me as soon as I and Silverstar separated “Did father talked to you in your dreams?” I nodded as he smiled “Good. Tell me about it.” We all sat down and I explained what I listened from my father.
Chapter 11: What is to come?
Early next morning, I was outside walking around in the village. The village was quiet early morning as I walked pass every tent. It was a clear sky with clouds and black birds flying around. The sun was rising from the horizon as I walked towards the edge of the village. There I saw Solarwind and Frostwind talking to each other. The firewood behind them was getting hotter as I walked closer and closer. Then, they turned around to meet me and smiled. I smiled too. “Hey, Silverwind. What’s up?” Solarwind asked as I shrugged and sat down next to them. “Nothing really. Is there anything to do?” “Nope.” Solarwind replied as I sighed again and added “Where’s Team V?” “Sleeping at their own tent.”Frostwind said “Or not.” Solarwind added to Frostwind’s sentence. I began to laugh then I turned around. Silverstar was behind me smiled as he sat down next to me. “So now you guys figure it out, huh?” Silverstar asked us as I smiled and nodded “We’re brothers-““Long lost brothers.” Silverstar interrupted me and added “I knew you look familiar. But I can’t put my finger on it.” “You too.” I said and he smiled. We then sat in silence.
The Snivys and servines were coming out of their tents as Silverstar said “Shadowblood wants you and your team to come inside the tent. I believe he has something to tell you.” And he smiled one final time and stood up, turned around and walked out of sight. I turned to Solarwind who shrugged and we all stood up. Then Frostwind took out the firewood and we walked to Shadowblood’s tent which was next to us. Once we were inside, Shadowblood was reading a red book. I walked up to him and said “Shadowblood. You want us?” He startled himself and through the red book into the air and stood up. “What? What do you want?” He said as Solarwind replied “What do you want, Shadowblood? You asked us to come here.” “Oh yeah…” Shadowblood said, embarrassed. Then he coughs again and said “the reason I asked you to come here is because….” We all leaned forward as he spoke “… There’s something I want to talk to you about the future.” “What? You can predict what’s going to happen?” Solarwind asked but Shadowblood nodded saying “No. What I meant is the prophecy of what’s to come. The warriors you’ve heard about will try to make four villages on their side by making rumors. These warriors are strong, really strong.” He said and stopped and then continued “the rest of the four villages will be at a war against the other four. “You must destroy the warriors and their gain of power around the four villages before it’s too late.” I nodded and we all walked out of Shadowblood’s tent.
