.... that even on site dedicated to just writing, it is hard to find a place that allows for commissions for writers.

I understand that this site is 99.99% for visual medium artists, but writing is art too. If you look on the commission page, it is only set up for visual arts. I do not do it very often, but in the past I have written character profiles, back stories, and other tales for people, who did not feel they could tell it on their own. I have even had visual artist give me a picture they did, tell me a brief idea they had and let me construct the story around it, because they liked my style and wanted the story told. However, they got a hold of me through my website or through RPing sites. All the artist sites and writer sites I have been a part of really did not give the option.
