Why did I open an account on FA in 2025? Well, "better late than never," as the saying goes... I've been fully cognizant of the fandom since at least 2009, so I trace my heritage back to then for simplicity's sake. Besides being a digital (and digitized) art fan, I am also a collector of vintage furry material including comics, zines and portfolios -- a hobby that I'd be a lot more active with today if Ed Zolna were still with us (R.I.P. Ed -- you were the best!) My favourite era is the late 80s through the mid-00s for all that kind of stuff, the sweetest spot being the 90s as a whole, though I'm definitely not jaded towards "nowadays" art at all. I enjoy both SFW and adult NSFW works, and to be frank, what gives you a warm nostalgic feeling and what turns you on isn't always the same thing. In any case, there's new talent coming up all the time, not to mention several artists with lengthy careers still kicking as well as ever!

Basically, I'm an art enthusiast who's more inclined to comment when there's a chance the actual artist might see it... something that a place like e621 doesn't necessarily guarantee. Plenty of artists that I like have a presence here but not there, so that was a good motivation to finally set myself up here as well. Though as I allude to in my way-more-brief profile over on that other furry site, I have a tendency to go back and forth for many, many years before finally going through with opening an account somewhere...
