Propeller driven aircraft.
Practicing Mindfulness and other self-help topics.
More being than doing.
Losing myself in Netflix (Parthenon), Prime Video (Northern Exposure) and Paramount (Star Trek stuff)
Further Information About My Fursona
Charlie is Named after an English Springer Spaniel that I had whose name is homage to Charles the First, king of England. His Last Name refers to the Battle of Dunbar during the English Civil War.
Why A Dog?
I created Charlie based on a life long love of Cartoon Dogs from Hanna-Barbera and for the love of the dogs that had me throughout my life.
How Charlie and I Relate:
Since Charlie mirrors me, he is now older and I will be reflecting that in future artwork and story lines.

Out Like A Lion
It might be a bit early to call the Exodus of March, but the winds are roaring by me today as they are in a lot of the country, and it seems like there might be snow for Easter.
March has always been an unpredictable month, and it doesn't look like it's done yet; fortunately, I have not had any lengthy power outages, nor damages due to the wind and snow (and rain), thus far -- hopefully it stays that way.
Convention Plans
Looking fur-ward, there is Lots of talk in my social media groups about the "local" state meet The Big One, and the two nearest conventions: Furry Delphia in Philadelphia, PA and the daughter convention Furgeddaboutit in Fairfield NJ. The dates and the deadlines for rooms are just about here and am I going?
I have declined, due to reasons, both personal and logistical, and if have a convention in me, I want to do Mega Plex, but I'm more at the wishing stage than the intention and planning stage.
I have been thinkng: "Given my last convention experience of managing walking about and suiting for only a couple of hours and then going to my room to decompress, is it worth the money for a sleep away con?" I've given it a lot of thought and have been going over the pros and cons.
I was never a traveler in my prime (due to my life situation) and I'm less inclined to do it now. Also, I'd have no one to assist me out in Florida, and the thought of waiting on the check in queue at the convention, driving back and forth from some hotel I haven't even booked yet, and solo suiting at the convention center is Not Sitting Well With Me.
I went to the Salt Water Expo this past weekend and it was a litmus test of sorts, that proved that after two hours on my feet, I'm ready to call it a day.
A Broken Record
I'm really not comfortable single suiting in a crowded, strange environment without a handler that I can never secure, and the thought of bumping into someone or getting into a tangle with them and my cane (as happened at the Fishing Expo), gives me the jitters, so I asked myself again: do I really want to undertake the travel and expend my energy at a convention?
Honestly, the answer is No. Is it fear or reason stopping me though?
I am in Love the The Idea of going. I keep trying to talk myself into going, so I can see the furs I have talked to online and those I have been to picnics and non-suiting meetups with, but I keep getting the feeling that going to the convention is writing a check my body will decline -- and also a chunk of money that is already screaming "buyer's remorse"
So, What Else, Then?
Besides working -- which is absolutely required and draws 80% of my energy --I have been feeding the birds, spending more time that I mean to on social media and have actually been drawing a little.
During the one warm day, last week, I did a sketch of a Lemon Aid stand encounter I had. A family was on the front lawn and one of the girls was being an entrepreneur; I stopped and bought a glass and tipped well. It was a Polaroid moment and I did a snapshot of the scene with a furry filter.
I also did an age reduction of Charlie (Lil' Charlie) sleeping with his Lynx stuffed toy, actually using my drawing tablet again, and playing with color in order to create it.
The drawing resonates with some things that I find energizing. My current energy levels are that of a child -- after a couple of hours of play (or work in my case) , I need a snack and then to be put down for a nap. Also, I'm seeking more SFW, PG rated fun that occurs during my waking schedule; being up til sun rise with drinking furs and listening the those kinds of conversations isn't worth the candle any more.
I desire to get away from adult human issues and worries and be care free again -- at least in my mind, if only for a little while.
My furry space is an escape -- away from politics and the international situation, and especially drama. So for now, home is where the heart is; I have even left the virtual world be, unless I visit my own private instances.
Thus, I updated my Paint Shop Pro and Painter Essentials, and I make my sketches using pencil and paper, scan them, and then fix them up digitally.
I'm not up for running and chasing as much as even six months ago, and even my single player video games aren't as appealing as an every day affair, so having some quiet play time at home on my schedule is what I have found to be best. I can put my stylus down at any time and my drawings wait for me, as do my books. No pressure to meet up, finish a level, or even respond to a post.

(I swear, I've got a legitimate mental condition, where I THINK I've left a 'Shout' on peeps' accnts., only to then realize I had not!)
'least I can amend that oversight!
