Computer Derangement Syndrome (G)
Computer Derangement Syndrome. OK, I like to work with computers, but even though I talk about them a lot, itâs not the only thing that I write about.
I managed to mess up my Ultra Boxy Fox build which is a MSI MPG Z890 Carbon Wifi motherboard when swapping to my Ultra 9 285K because I wanted to see if that chip even worked. The error codes that it kept on cycling threw were 23, 28, 7F finally ended with 55 code after cycling four times. I looked up all the codes, but 55 was signalling that there was too much pressure being applied from the AIO. I did all of the things that it was suggesting to do, but no such luck. I checked the socket, and I didnât see any pins out of place. I even put the previous U9 285, and U7 265K, I kept on getting the same errors.
I was using an Asiahorse AIO, but one thing that I did notice compared to others that I have used in the past is the fact was it wasnât the easiest thing to install, and there werenât any tension springs to balance the pressure or to keep it from getting to tight, So Iâm going to be swapping the MPG out with a MSI WIFI Gaming + that came with.
I also did some computer repair on HDâs rig by replacing all of his fans with some that were better quality. I figured it might have taken about an hour or so, but the project turned out to be an all day adventure mainly due to wiring, and dealing with one that had a faulty connection that was giving an error with the Bios. The fans that were in it werenât that old, but three of them started rubbing against the back place so I decided to replace them all, and to add a few more for at the top to keep dust from going threw the vents.
Meanwhile on the AMD side of the planet. Do you think that their CPUs that have that extra Level 3 cash might be a bit over hyped? I am not knocking anyone who has one. Heck I have a couple of them myself, and I canât see much of a difference between them, and I havenât ran into any major problems with my gaming laptop that doesnât have one.
