Thank you so much to those who commissioned me in the last month. With your help, I was able to reach the $500 goal for my mom's medical emergency! That will hopefully cover the doctor copays, as well as all the unpaid days my mom has needed to take off from work because of her mystery illness. I paid what she was missing for rent and her first doc appointment is August 6th.

This is a huge first step in getting her the help she needs, but the fight is far from over. Having gone through my own medical nightmares in the last year, I'm expecting a lot of expensive tests and agonizing waiting just to get a diagnosis, let alone treatment, and she'll most likely need to take more unpaid time-off, too. For that reason, I'm going to keep my emergency commissions open until further notice. I'll update with a new goal amount when we get a clearer picture of what we're up against.
