In the past days I've been thinking a lot,  "What now?" For me, it's allowing myself to grieve and rest. In the weeks and months to follow I will let myself be depressed, angry, numb, disassociated, anxious, and isolated. Often all at the same time. But I will find ways to relax and find joy.

Starting in January it will be time to pick up the pieces and be defiant and fight for my rights, and the rights of friends, family, and complete strangers.

We know what this looks like: we've been here for decades. Sure, we've suffered a major setback that will be felt for generations, but there are lessons to be learned here,  and we need to take those to heart and be stronger for it.
