TGM 3 and Where I've been
Hi!
Hope you all had great holidays.
So it is quite apparent I've been gone for a hot minute... Aside from a few sneak peaks on twitter, I haven't been maintaining my online presence much, as I'm still quite bogged down by life stuff.
However, If everything goes right, I should finally be freed up to be back in full force by february. It's been a long, arduous gauntlet, and I'll be VERY glad to have this phase of my life concluded.
In terms of the threequel comic, as it stands right now, ACT 1 is pretty much fully inked. I am waiting on Tyre to be free himself to color things up (life hasn't been easy for them either...). Finishing touches and boring formatting junk aside, I am pretty confident in releasing the comic some time soon - or...well, as soon as any work involve me could possibly be.
Given how damn long the gap between Kobutt 2 and 3 is, many are probably wondering 'what the fuck is this dude even cooking in there?'. Truth be told, I think I went a bit insane with the scope of the comic, and figuring what I wanted out of ACT 1 suffered greatly from that. Since the day I publicly talked about the page count and my vague goals for the third entry in this series, the storyline got rewritten like...3 times. So many setpieces and plot points added, dropped and/or put back on. Many, MANY scrapped concepts. All issues I've dealt with before, for sure, but they truly showed their ugly face the moment I set out to actually TRY writing a coherent story.
ACT 1 alone is shaping up to be a 30-pager juggernaut, but I am quite proud of what is coming out of this, after all the trials and tribulations. This is the most energy I've put towards inking on any project of my life, and I really hope that effort shows thru in the end product hahaha. I hope you find it worth all the wait.
That said, I DO have another big surprise bulging out of my lil pocket right now that I won't show until the right time (likely around the time ACT 1 drops). Of course I didn't spend a whole year working on a single project. Needless to say, I've kept myself busy :3
