Hey there! Welcome to the Character Adoption Society!
We specialize in listing established or thought out characters in our gallery in the hopes that a fellow user comes along and realizes that they and that character were meant to be! We are not an adoptables farm, so please, refrain from requesting us to find your adoptables homes unless they are more than a base with colors. Our agency is for characters, not designs, and we want these characters to have been loved and cared for with thought out details, such as a life story, names, genders, and other similar information that helps establish who a character is! Enjoy browsing and perhaps finding yourself a new you, or helping someone else discover a missing piece!
We update every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with new characters. Rules:
# Your character up for grabs must be just that. A character and not simply a design. We will accept adoptables, but please do not take offense that we will look for deeper information about this character than just a base with colors. We are not an adoptable farm, and we would like designs that have love and care put into them to find homes over helping you churn out designs for profit. We love adoptables, but without the proper information that makes them a character, we will not promote finding them a home. Please understand. There are many groups out there that are solely for adoptable designs! If we find that your character is just too sparse on personal details (trust us, we aren't requesting too too much depth), just come up with a bit more if you would really like to find them a home through us!
# If you wish to have your character find a home through us, please do not do what we are doing over on your own account. For example, it will get confusing if you have the same information listed in two places, and someone who finds the character here will be sorely disappointed if the character gets claimed elsewhere. It is, however, perfectly acceptable to make journals or uploads, and then link here to your character's gallery image to point your fans or watchers in our direction! If you break this rule, we may bar you from using our services again.

# We reserve all rights to reject finding your character a new home. If we find you to be abusing this group in any way, we reserve our rights to no longer permit your participation and will block you.
# If you wish to adopt a character, please contact the artist listed in the gallery information via notes. If the character is up for auction, please bid in the gallery comments.
# If you have any questions, please ask them BEFORE submitting characters for adoption. Before asking a question, please check out our FAQ!
In order to have your character listed here, please read the following very carefully, fill out the form, and then note us.
Do not erase these questions. Simply hit enter after each question and fill in your information. Removing the questions make it difficult, and we will request you do it again until it is satisfactory. Thank you.
1. What is the account name you would like displayed?
2. What is your character's full name, if it has one?
3. Does this character come with artwork? If so, please list it.
4. Please list information that is important about your character that you would like potential adopters to know?
5. Please acknowledge that once someone adopts your character, they own the design and rights, and that you cannot change your mind and take them back. Please acknowledge that while you may not want them to make changes to your character, that you can not control that once you let them go and that we will not police what the new owner does with the character.
6. Please list the conditions for taking this character. Is it for sale? Is it for auction? Give away? Art tryouts? Something else?
7. Please acknowledge that if your character is for auction, that we will host the auction on his/her gallery page, and that you are responsible for responding to those commenting and following up with those winning the auction.
8. Please let us know anything else that you think is important to know.

In order to get off the ground, CAS needs some exposure! And what better way to do so with artwork to show your friends and watchers?!
We here at CAS propose an art contest!
What
You draw our mascot, the Helping Hare, and advertise the group in the submission comments!
You can also draw your own character holding up a sign advertising our group, or draw your character and Helping Hare together!
You decide!
Submissions must be clean!
When
Due date will be July 20th at 12:00AM EST, a whole month away from today! If there is enough of an outcry for an extension, we will extend this deadline.
How many
You may submit two entries, but only one of your entries may place per category!
Categories
You will choose which category to place your entry. Your entry may be judged by Talent, or by Most Creative Advertisement. Choose wisely - once you choose, it cannot be changed!
Prizes
Since there are two categories, there will only be a grand prize winner and an honorable mention per category!
If you are selected as a winner, you must note these artists individually for your prizes. CAS is not held responsible for your prizes and interactions with these artists, or their interactions with you.

How can I help if I don't want to enter?
You can be a judge in the process, or you can help offer more prizes! Please note us or the group maintainer with "Contest Help" as your subject line! MOST IMPORTANTLY, spread the word about CAS and also about our contest.
Cancellation
You are allowed to withdraw from the contest. We will keep the artwork done for the contest in our gallery.
We must have at least 5 different entrants to hold the contest. Should we have less than 5 entrants by the deadline, the contest will be cancelled.
