I have heard it said that in this world, nothing remains constant. I would argue that art, in all of its forms, remains constant in one way; it evolves with a culture, to express a culture. Art is a means for self expression, which is a ubiquitous desire for mankind. Through our art, we express the ineffable beauty of our souls, and our culture. The medium we use is unimportant; it is the message we convey that holds power. My medium is the written word - stories; collections of words to act as a conduit for thoughts and emotions.

The beauty of the written word is in its most distinguishing (and somewhat oxymoronic) trait - precision in ambiguity. That is to say that if 10 people are allowed to read a well written work, without any preconceptions, they will each leave with something different from that work.

This is not indented to be diminutive to other forms of expression. Quite to the contrary, I adore illustrated art, and I feel it is an essential element of our culture. I only state herein my reasons for choosing written word as my medium.

I'm new to the fandom, though I watched the art from afar. I am not quite certain yet what I am doing, but I am eager to fall in and socialize.
