Art
For years I have tried to find my place within it. i tried to paint, sculpt, draw, etc. etc. ETC. the things i have tried...
But that's beside the point, for now i understand the true value of an art form that i CAN create. the art of the written word. interestingly enough, i realised this in my schools art class, on a day when the teacher passed out a drawing of an old man that was upside down, and as she did that, she was talking about the left and right sides of the brain, and how we needed to think with the right side of our brain, and tune out the left. now, if i was in the state of mind that i was in then, i would have been shocked and outraged. however, i paid no heed to her rudeness, and listened as she talked about how we were supposed to use art to describe the old man in any way we saw fit. when i heard this, i will admit i started to draw. AT FIRST. then i looked up and saw that everyone was drawing it in almost the same way. so then i was troubled with finding a way to express myself while still staying unique to my self.
so then i wrote about it.
the teacher looked over it, and said that i was using the left side of my brain, instead of the right. now, everything got a little fuzzy after that, but the next thing i knew, i was in the guidance counsellors office. nice guy. anyhow, the point of this is that i found my medium of art, and you (the currant reader(s)) of this text have just sampled a portion of my art.
i hope you liked it
