but we were drinking wine on the beach and watching the stars come out and sleeping in your car



maybe the time we crashed that afterparty on the roof of the hilton


maybe the time the power was out all day in the summer and we lied around in our underwear smoking pot and eating ice cubes



or maybe it was one of those other times i was only alive in that moment, and not being swept out to sea by the past
