You guys are awesome!

Whew... I'm glad to get that out of the way. The furry community is fantastic! I love the variety of art, stories and media being produced on this site and others. SoFurry has quickly become a favourite of mine because I can easily browse high quality art and great stories easily. Therefore I'm shedding my lurker title in favour of bring more active in this community and eventually I want to contribute in my own small way. Drawing isn't my strong suit at all, but I do like to write when inspiration hits me, usually at 3am on a Tuesday. So here I am, finally jumping into the creative writing pool and getting my paws wet.

Nice to meet you, let me introduce myself...

I'm a 33 year old Canadian guy, once engaged and once heartbroken. I suppose I am a pretty typical Canadian: friendly, a good listener, enjoys the snow and also a good beer. My friends call me the 'Gentle Giant' since I'm 6'5" and generally soft spoken. I love to read, eat good food and play the occasional video game. I work from home as a web developer and I offer technical support to various agencies, so that means I keep odd hours and you'll probably find me surfing the web any time of day or night.

Several years ago I went through a period of self-discovery. I had to come to terms with what I was feeling and who I wanted to associate with. I suppressed my nature as a sexual being and it led to me finding out my true identity as a bisexual male. Unfortunately, my fiancee at the time didn't share my new outlook and she choose to leave me and find someone more 'normal'. Hindsight being as it is, I'm glad we didn't go through with something we'd both grow to regret. I'm much happier now and comfortable with my indentiy.

Appearance - red coat, beach blond hair/mane/tail, a splash of white on his face and on his extremities (hands and hooves). 6'5" tall, 190lbs, athletic build, nice muscle tone but not too defined. Red left eye, yellow right eye.
Personality - Friendly and sympathetic, enjoys helping others by listening and offering advice when he can, shy in large groups, can be distant at times, thoughtful bordering on brooding.
