Name: Ral Marek, Named as a Sur of his tribe.

Appearance: A young adult male feline anthro that usually appears to be a mountain lion with feet leaning towards the natural and human looking hands with retractable claws. He stands upright, and is of medium height. He is slim and well toned from an active childhood and years of traveling through sometimes harsh lands. Frequently seen without a shirt, he prefers minimal clothing. a bad habit learned in childhood as a way to work around the sweltering heat of his native lands.

Abilities: Ral was raised in a very balance oriented community. All the people, from the priests to the hunters focused as equally as possible on furthering their bodies and minds. Magic was used openly and knowledge was freely shared. As a result of growing up in this way, and because of the harsh desert environment his people favor, he has slightly enhanced physical attributes and senses. He also unfailingly seems to know which direction the water is.
Something of a geomancer he naturally works with whatever environment he happens to find himself in, and can control his surroundings to a limited degree. Along with this, as a Sur, one of the future spiritual leaders of his people, he tends to adopt traits of those who teach him and spend time around him. Through this ability he is able to slightly shift his form and adopt certain traits depending on how he looks. Having his magic based in balance though, takes it's toll on him physically. Changing his skin can only be maintained for a short time, usually no more than 15 minutes. Sort of like tensing a muscle, he has to relax eventually. After changing he is physically weary and usually finds a quiet place to rest or nap if he can.
While he can work strong magic or further increase his physical traits if he needs to, the balance again has a price. Increased strength may tear muscles and better eyesight may leave him with clouded vision for a time, and etc.

Puma: His natural form has no special traits beyond those already mentioned above. This skin has no time limit and enacts no balance price on him.
Snow Leopard: This skin seems to heighten his magical senses, allowing him to more easily follow magical trails and seek out places of learning and interest. He also finds that his own magical workings seem to pack more of a punch while wearing this guise.
Black Panther: This skin helps him melt into his surroundings. If he needs to get away or get closer without being noticed, this is his go to form.

Bio: Ral was born to a small tribe of nomadic people. Traditionally making their home in the desert, they sometimes venture into the mountains and out into the surrounding grasslands to trade and exchange news. His people are known for their fair dealings and their assorted collection of strange abilities.
As a child, he was allowed to run free and was encouraged to find himself and hone his talents. But growing up under the harsh sun and scraping by from year to year has also instilled a deep sense of community in him and he harbors a strong protective instinct over his friends, family and the young in the community.
Named as a Sur in early adolescence, Ral will eventually become one of a small group of spiritualists to guide his people in their daily lives. A Sur helps settle disputes, teaches the young and old alike, tends to the sick, helps decide when and where to move next, and leads the tribe in its defense if need be.
Part of his training requires that he go out into the world to experience life away from the group and, while wandering, gather knowledge that he can then bring back to better the tribe as a whole. The theory is that the young Sur comes back as essentially a new person, having died in the eyes of his people when he left the group, and the gift of new learning is proof of his worth to the community. As he traveled, Ral has gained a deeper understanding of himself and in a sense discovered different sides of himself. with that deeper understanding comes his ability to wear different skins, reflecting those he's learned from.
Those meeting the present day young adult Ral as a friend will likely be charmed by his playful nature and joking attitude. However those meeting him across a blade quickly find themselves facing an unexpected wildcat. He will fiercely protect those he travels with or deems a friend.

Sexual Leanings: Ral usually prefers life as a top, but has been known to swing both ways when the situation feels right. His personality would best be described as passively dominant, meaning he tends to go with the flow until he feels the need to take control for one reason or another. Either to prevent harm, complete a task, or satisfy a lover. Along with a nice round rump, he has an uncut human looking penis with small blunt barbs under the crown.
