My name is DashingHeights, but call me Dashie! I'm a self-taught artist and prehistoric animal enthusiast. I enjoy South Park, the original Teen Titans, and Supernatural. Most of my day is taken up by school, drawing, and/or video games! You are always free to message me, but please keep the following in mind:

I have schizo-affective disorder with depressive symptoms, but I have been professionally treated and deemed high functioning enough to live normally (for the most part). In Layman's terms, I have a depressive mood disorder with schizophrenic symptoms (i.e. very real hallucinations). Most of my characters are inspired by people or creatures that I hallucinate and/or dream about. This disorder makes me a little socially oblivious and causes me to hyper fixate on certain things. It also makes me much more apathetic than most people, so if I come across as a little callous or blunt, I apologize in advance. I'm not trying to be.

In Real Life..
I work in the Emergency Department of a large hospital as a safety sitter; essentially, I sit with high-risk patients who cannot be left alone. I'm also pursuing a bachelor's degree, so I do dedicate several hours a day to school work. My motivation to draw is directly affected by the other things going on in my life, and certain times of the year, as well. My least productive months are in the winter.

▪️ Saying you are bullied, depressed, and/or suicidal: Please remember that I am mentally fragile and cannot handle something like that. If you need to talk to someone, talk to a real-life friend or adult. Seek help. Do not fluster and potentially bring down the mood of a stranger on the internet.

▪️ Asking for free art: Asking for free art online is the epitome of entitlement. Not only is it ridiculous and rude, it's very disrespectful and the equivalent to saying that an artist's work (essentially their time and dedication) isn't worth anything. Don't ask. The answer is always no.

▪️ About roleplaying: I do not roleplay, period. No story roleplays and no asterisk roleplays (which btw is not real roleplay, let's clarify that, idk who decided *this* counted as roleplay)

▪️ Looking for Romance: I am very no nonsense. I don't deal with this. I will politely lay down my boundaries if I think you're coming onto me. However, I won't be so nice if you persist further. Please understand that your advances make me uncomfortable.

Art Tools
I draw with a Huion Kamvas Pro 13 graphic display tablet in Paint Tool Sai 2. Sometimes I use Clip Studio Paint Pro for finishing touches or adding captions. My speedpaints are recorded with Open Broadcaster Studio, and edited in Shotcut. My laptop is an Asus Notebook.
