► Hi there! My name's Ulrich Benton. I am a musician and a music producer — that's to say, I am an instrumentalist trained in Western music theory specializing in percussion instruments with mallet percussion instruments being my priority; with that, I use that knowledge in my music production where I produce electronic music using FL Studio under the name Daymusik.
► The origins of the name comes from a few places:
1) When I first started making music, I used my ponysona's name, Daybreak. The change happened when I decided I wanted to try to be more professional with my music. This is, like, the first 1/3 of my name.
2) For years, my favorite classical composer has been Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. As an Austrian composer, I wanted to incorporate some of Mozart's German influence, which coincides with the next point...
3) One of my favorite pieces by Mozart is his piece "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", which translates to "A Little Night Music". The idea to take the opposite of that, making it "A Little Day Music", then combining all of these points together led to the name "Daymusik".
Well, that's enough about my music; what else is there about me?
► Less importantly, I am an artist, or rather I simply dabble in various forms of visual artistry. Predominantly, I'm a traditional artist, having spent years developing my style with pencils, colored pencils, and paper, and to a lesser extent pens. I also paint digitally using Procreate on my iPad. Recently, I have begun undertaking the arduous effort of learning 3D modeling in Blender. Other than that, I will occasionally experiment with other mediums that I might feel like at the moment, painting on canvas/paper, sculpting, crafts, etc., I enjoy trying everything!

FA Upload Size for Audio Files (G)

Genuinely, are there any chances the file upload size limit will be increased from the wholly useless "10 MB" that it currently is for audio files?
FurAffinity being the only furry platform I've seen accept .wav files is cool, but what's the point if never a single .wav file is remotely close to fitting beneath that 10 MB limit?
But, that's understandable, .wav files are uncompressed audio, so those tend to be large anyway. I don't know what's the purpose of accepting .wav files, then, but I digress. I'm here because I was refreshing myself on what the file size limits were on FA, IB, and SF before trying to upload my holiday album "Paws for the Holidays" which I've finished and is already out on streaming platforms. I was going to wait until December to, well... release any of it, but as the release of the album went far smoother than I had anticipated for streaming platforms, everything sort of followed suit. As such, I decided I was going to upload those songs now, clearly unable to upload the .wav versions of the album, but, surely, the three places can handle the .mp3 files.
So, anyway, tell me why FurAffinity will be the only place I will be unable to upload my album in any amount. I don't know why, but for some reason, the .mp3 files of each song in the album are larger than I would have anticipated, but they will still be allowed on SoFurry with their 60 MB upload limit. And, of course, InkBunny has their 100 MB upload limit, so there's never a problem there.
But, come on, really? 10 MB!? I understand this website is for furry art, but I did not know you were trying to deter any other forms of expression of art by making it wholly impossible for those artists to upload their work here. You're just as bad as Discord with the exact same file size limit. If you don't want to match SoFurry's capabilities -- and clearly not InkBunny's capabilities -- then at least 50 MB would have been a more sensible limit. Seriously. What on Earth did you expect people to be uploading where a 10 MB limit was feasible? If you haven't heard anyone else complaining about it, it's probably because they would rather not have to deal with it thus choosing not to upload it here.
