Hi, I know that a couple of you are going to be shocked by this sudden news, so I’ll explain;

I’m done. I’m permanently leaving this community as of today, and I will no longer be interacting with anyone, outside of bookmarking and downloading art like I used to. This has been something I’ve been considering for a couple months, and I really didn’t want to, but I just feel like I have to now.

Why am I leaving? Honestly, it’s a pretty selfish reason, but I had been screwed over so goddamn many times last year with comms, multiple times artists would delete their accounts or just completely ignore me when I would try to ask about getting updates on my PAID commissions, that I just can’t deal with it anymore. I can’t name names here, but I have $838USD worth of art from ONE artist I absolutely adore, and they still owe me art from the first time I ever commissioned them, which was in 2023, which is around $1200 AUD (my currency). I know that I should have been stricter about getting the art, but I really don’t like being pushy, because I absolutely respect artists, so I just let it go. On top of that, the one time I actually try to get my art in a reasonable time, I get flamed for being too impatient, so that just made things worse for me. I’ll be making a post on Bluesky that’ll link back to here, but I’ll be naming artists that owed me art.

To the very few friends that I made, this decision has absolutely nothing to do with you guys, I know I had recently commed 2 of you for some birthday art, but please don’t worry about doing them, and I do feel guilty having you guys start it and wasting your time. You guys have been absolutely amazing friends and I genuinely hope you guys continue to make amazing art and improve!
