So I found this super cool meme and thought I'd fill it out for Morpheus for those of you who don't know of him too well! C: This is gonna be a mix of times in his life and mostly about his human self.


1.)Describe your character's relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

The relationship between him and his parents was really sweet. His mom was pretty uptight about his religious standings and making sure he grew up as a perfect little gentleman. His father was a clock maker that spent most of his time downstairs in the shop building clocks so they rarely spent time together outside of that. But his father showed him what he knew and often shared drinks with him. Morpheus wasn't so spoiled, his parents were actually pretty poor an only made enough money to keep their business going. His father died of heart failure after a robber broke in in the middle of the night and his mother passed from old age in his mid twenties.

2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?

His blind eye and his cat eye definitely. He's also anorexic.

3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don't have any, is there a reason?

He has hundreds of scars from both self harm and accidents. His most prominent scar is the one across his eye from when he cut his own eye out and shoved his cat's eye inside his eye socket. ( He lost his sanity years ago after something tragic that I'll get into in a moment. )

4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?

He thinks he's extremely ugly actually. But he is very selfish when it comes to other things.

5.) What's your character's ranking on the KINSEY SCALE?

Exclusively Heterosexual Behavior for sure.

6.) Describe your character's happiest memory.

Eventually getting married to someone who showed him that even with all his flaws, mental disorders, and his ugly past, he was still just a person that deserved to be loved.

7.) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?

Yes. He murdered his "girlfriend". He spent day and night working to buy her this engagement ring and he came home early one day and found her in bed with another man. Out of blind rage he killed her and the man escaped. He went on a killing spree after that, killing every man that looked like him. His life was never the same after that and he regrets all those killings more than anything.

8.) Day of Favorites! What's your character's favorite ice cream flavor? Color? Song? Flower?

Ice Cream flavor: Lemon sorbet
Color: Crimson
Song: Disasterpiece by Slipknot

9.) Who does your character trust?

Himself and his wife.

10.) Can you define a turning point in your character's life? Multiples are acceptable.

1.) After killing everyone he could never forgive himself.
2.) Falling in love again and for once feeling safe with someone else.

11.) Is there an animal you equate with your character?

Cats. He has dozens of cats. Also rats too.

12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?

He is not technologically adapt aside from a cell phone or browsing the Internet. He prefers handwritten things though.

13.) What does your character's bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

His bed is usually fairly well kept when he wakes up. He sleeps either on his back or on his side curled up into a ball.

14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?

He detests extreme heat but enjoys colder weather, especially cold rainy nights.

15.) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?

He has insomnia so he doesn't sleep well and ends up staying awake for most of the night and waking up on the early side.

16.) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?

He doesn't have any "real siblings/relatives" per say. However he does have someone he considers a brother and his name is James. They're complete opposites and usually bicker at each other and occasionally get into physical fights with.

17.) What's your character's desk/workspace look like? Are they neat or messy?

Very, very neat. OCD in the extreme when it comes to lining up pencils, papers, books. Color sorting everything in genres of books and by width as well. Everything on their desk must be kept perfect or they get really agitated and anxious.

18.) Is your character a good cook? What's their favorite recipe, whether they're good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)

He's not exactly a great cook, but he does cook. He's a vegetarian so he'll make tofu dishes or something. But his favorite things to make are cinnamon buns.

19.) What's your character's preferred means of travel?

On foot or by carriage.

20.) Does your character have any irrational fears?

Yes and no... He's usually okay, but if he has an emotional moment he can't really control he tends to lose control over his rational thinking and begins to fear a lot of things that aren't really happening.

21.) What would your character's CUTIE MARK be?

Nothing... He doesn't like My Little Pony.

22.) If your character could time travel, where would they go?

Westminster, England 1725.

23.) Is your character superstitious?

He's superstitious about dreams/nightmares when thet reoccur every night.

24.) What might your character's ideal romantic partner be?

Someone caring, thoughtful, and patient. Someone that will handle his instabilities with love instead of anger or fear.

25.) Describe your character's hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

His hands are long and boney with pointed fingernails at the tips. His nails are a pale yellow.

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

He smells like old books or wine. His cologne is fairly musky.

30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

Dear Morpheus,

After all that you've been through to get where you are today remember to stand back and smile and be thankful. The past is not something to hold onto, it is meant to be let go. Walk away from your self pity and see that there's someone waiting for you and she's always going to be there for you.
