Needing to get back on track.
Let me put it simple: Everything is going expensive. Way too expensive. I have what is considered middle class income, I live with family and have enough to get myself pleasantries from time to time.
But it's not enough.
I've taken a loan about 6 years 9 months ago, it was mostly an emergency due to me having no work at the time. To put it simply, it was a money well spent that put me into relatively comfortable situation I'm in right now.
Still, it's not enough.
Quite often, I lend money when family needs it. Most of the times it's emergencies where one of our pets (as of the time of writing we have 3 dogs and 3 cats) gets sick. My sister is studying - I've been helping her out as well.
I don't want to ask for money. I don't want to do anything for free - but I need this debt gone. I have 40 payments left to make. Each about $300 a month. ~$12000 total left. And I've been thinking about it a lot - should I finally pick up writing commissions? And the answer seems yes. I don't expect generosity. I want to do fair work so that I can finally be free of these shackles. So I can afford more than simple pleasantries - to go on proper vacations outside of my own country, to take care of my own needs beyond basics without waiting until I'm 30 or more.
The question lingers, though. I don't know how to advertise - I don't know what a fair price would be. I would consider myself an average writer... Maybe ever so slightly above average. And given my anxieties, ADHD and asperger's, it is quite tough to do anything on my own without motivation, even more so publicly.
Any help here would be appreciated.
