Okay, so here are some of my Duckula headcanons!! Have fun! Also please remember that these are headcanons and not actual fact. So keep your flames to yourself, thank you.

~ Igor definitely suffers from some sort of depression, caused by the 14th Count Duckula's death (which I have dated as being April 5th in my version of the universe, Idk if that's actually when he died or not). As such, he's treated the Duckulas who have come after much more coldly, especially the 17th. Igor does care about our Duckula deeply, it's just it's a lot harder for him to express that because he doesn't want to get too close (I like to think he loves our Duckula as a father would a son- I'm still undecided as to the nature of Igor's relationship with the 14th). Igor also drinks himself into a deep stupor every April fifth, and has done so for the past three centuries or so. Eventually Heinrich helps him stop drinking and tries to help Igor out of his depression. They still have a long ways to go though.

~Goosewing doesn't actually hate Duckula, at least not anymore. In recent years, he really only chases after Duckula because he (Goosewing) is lonely and has nothing else to do with his time.

~For Duckula, it's kind of vice versa. He's come to almost look forward to Goosewing's attempts on his life, due to being both bored and also lonely. I also share ilee_font's (that's an artist on Instagram, be sure to check them out!) headcanon that Duckula likes to sleep with Goosewing's photo on the pillow next to him.

~In other words, Duckula and Goosewing are definitely in love, they just still have a ways to go before they actually say it to each other.

~The first Count Duckula and anyone who happened to live near Castle Duckula in his time used a different calendar than we use today. I mainly came up with this to explain a minor loophole involving the "reincarnation once a century" and how it doesn't make sense that the first Duckula became a vampire in the 1100s. Because there have been 17 counts, so the first would have had to have been around 1700 years ago- a thousand years or so earlier than what the first Duckula said (which was 1100-something). Hence why I'm making it so he and the other locals had a different calendar back then.
