I had cataract removal surgery yesterday. It went pretty well aside from my stupid veins blowing every time they tried to get an IV into my arm....so they tried like 6 times (with my permission) before finally getting the anesthesiologist to do it. We had a long conversation about our favorite horror movies and the original Halloween movie. All and all, it was a pretty chill experience and I even had a full conversation with my surgeon as jhe was operating. (they don't sedate you enough to put you to sleep, just to make you feel "drunk" -- I'm pretty sure I scared several nurses because I didn't care about being poked repeatedly,/didn't react at all to my veins collapsing (I mean it did hurt, but I'd much rather have been sedated for my procedure)

Anyway, I go in for my 1st post op exam and I'll keep everyone posted <3
