tl;dr DO NOT POUNCE/TACKLE ME. I CAN NOT support very much weight on my spine , and too much WILL send me to the hospital. It's nothing you have to worry about as long as you DO NOT jump on top of me. I don't care how little and cute you are, I CAN. NOT. support your weight on my spine.
As some of you may know (or if you don't, you're about to know) I am physically disabled. This is nothing new, however it has been more of an issue recently than it has been in the past. This disability is with my back, as I was born with what's called flatback syndrome (or if you'd prefer to use fancy unpronounceable words you could call it lumbar lordosis and thoracic kyphosis). It puts a lot of pressure in a lot of wrong places, and done quite a lot of nerve damage.
To use people words, or fox words if you will, I'm unable to support any more than 10lbs (according to my doctor) at a time. Realistically, I'm comfortable with closer to 15lbs, or maybe 20lbs if for very short distances at a time. What this translates to, is that you weigh a hell of a lot more than 10lbs and trying to support your weight on my back will send me to the hospital and has the potential of paralysing me for the rest of my life. It will never go away, and it will never get better; only worse.
This causes me a LOT of pain! Even supporting my own bodyweight is very painful and so because of it I am often quite heavily medicated (No, You can't have any. They're not for recreational use and I need them to live), especially while fursuiting. In addition to my spine, my genetics have blessed me with premature degenerative arthritis; primarily in my knees but over the years has gotten worse in my wrists as well. To make a long story short, fursuiting really isn't the best hobby for the condition my body is in. However, it is also a hobby that makes me very very happy; and regardless of the pain I'd never give it up.
I'm not posting this here for attention, or pity, as it's a pretty well integrated part of my life, and as said this is how I've been from birth. However, at recent conventions I've had a couple too many close calls with people attempting to tackle me-- especially from behind. I figured it was about time to make a public post about it, and another will be made right before the convention.
Do not jump on me. Especially if I'm not aware of what you are doing.

My second fursuit!! <3 as9f8uaw foW(UF)WJHEFSDKfJSDFJA!*~!!! (G)

Oh goodness, Scott. Really? A second one? Already?! You only just barely got your first one! :L
I know.. I know.. What can I say other than, "Hi, My name is Scott and I am addicted to fursuits." I'm an addict~ At this rate, I'll be the new Yippee Coyote before 2012 is over! ;) All jokes aside, Most of you by now know the fursuit Chase, who is currently (soon to be previously) owned by kartfox. Making a long story short, Kart has agreed to sell him to me! .. Considering I'm pretty much the only one who ever wears him any more, anyway. :P and I'm his favourite fursuiter, he admitted it and told me. SHHHH! Okay, Selfish bragging moment over. <3
All in all, This is incredibly fascinating news for me! <3 Chase has been, for a long time running now, my favourite fursuit. Especially after putting him on. I am honoured to be the one who will take care of him. (: If all goes to plan, I should be picking him up at FC2013.. which just so happens to be the anniversary of my first fursuiting experience.
Life is working out rather nicely, I'd like to think.
It's a good change, I think. Oh, what a year it has been. (:
P.S. Have I told you lately how much I love you?![/i]
