Take an overabundance of freckles and add it to a splash of curly all-over-the-place hair.
Stir in a pinch of artistic inspiration and a dash of zombie and science fiction enthusiasm; let sit for a moment or two.
Add three cups Mystery Science Theatre 3000, and an assortment of music to taste.
Season with Lovecraftian love and follow with the love of gardening for growth, a taste of wine for age, and a few lumps of potting clay for the ability to mould various situations into what is needed.
Her character, of sorts, is an anthropomorphic brown raccoon (details are still in the works) with a love affair for deep sea critters, black and white photographs and proper grammar. Parallels between the creature and creator are often seen, seeing as 'Etchy' is a product of her own mind. And so it begins, in trying to sort out where she belongs in this vast, machine-driven world; spirituality is a start in trying to converse with the Universe.
Certainly there are more ingredients, but spontaneity is the name of the game -- recipes can always be improved upon.

Asylum Seekers

Have you ever felt like you just want to cry out, 'I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!'? Like the whole world has turned you mad, frothing at the mouth and you want to run in frantic circles laughing hysterically?
Well then, have we got a movie for you!! With the always wonderful company of
slickscale, we perused our local alternative and cult movie rental shop, The Lobby. We managed to come out alive, and with many odd movies in hand, one of them called 'Asylum Seekers'.
If you could somehow take a cartoon and make it a live action feature about several loonies who have to compete for the single spot in the world's best insane asylum, and have to go through a series of feats and contests in order to get in...well, you would have a fucking great movie. The directing is like NOTHING else I've ever seen, and the dinner party at the very beginning will leave you first speechless, and then in hysterical laughing fits.
