Like many groups on FA, we cater to a particular category of furs that exist on this site, specifically those with interests and/or fursonas related to the Pokémon subset of the fandoms. This group is specifically meant for the very first fire-types that we like to call Chars!

What is a 'Char', you might ask? To be alliterative for a moment, that is the collective, colloquial, and commonly concurrent catchword for Charmanders, Charmeleons, and Charizards, some of the oldest and most well-known Pokémon out there. Many people consider these fire-tailed creatures attractive in many ways: from the adorable charm of a Charmander to the almighty charge of a Charizard, the wide range of reasons goes on and on as to why so many out there appreciate Chars. For many of us, each reason can be traced all the way back to the first time we started our first Pokémon games back in our younger days. The fact that we picked Charmander as a starter, for whatever reason, he thus became the first Pokémon to whom we found ourselves introduced and, subsequently, grew attached.

There are a wide variety of reasons that we Char-furs have ultimately favored and chosen a fursona (or Charsona if you will!) to represent our fondness of Chars. Even so, we can generally agree that our species is, no pun intended, smoking hot! As such, we feel that it is our privilege and responsibility to proudly share our appreciation of Chars to others; therefore as per our group mission statement, we are dedicated to bringing together as many FA Char-furs as we can, allowing us all to meet and interact in a fraternal and overall fun manner. There's quite a few Char-loving furs out there these days, and with your help, we hope to be the hub for as many of them as possible!

While we highly recommend you create a Charsona if you haven't already, joining our niche doesn't require you to actually have a Char as your character. Char-fans are welcome and appreciated as well! However, if you happen to have adopted one of these three hot Pokémon (hybrids included) as a main or alt, this would be the place for you to show such a character off! Just give this account a watch, and that's all you have to do to become a member! We would also be delighted if you would use our group icon on your FA page as well. This not only shows support for the group but also puts on display your Char-pride! Just use either the command :"iconfa-chars": -or- :"fa-charsicon": (Remove the quotes) in your profile information to display our group icon on your page!

Also please consider joining our Member Listing! This listing allows us to organize our Char-members with a Pokésona by species and name. Simply send a PM to our account listing your Char's name and species (Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, or Hybrid) in the title. If the case of Char-fans without Char characters, we welcome you to join the member list as well; you'll simply be put under the 'Fan' category instead. The listing will be updated semi-often.

This group will be semi-active with new Char-relevant content being added from time to time. What sort of content, you might ask? Well...

-Journals- These will be written to update FA-Chars members on the status of this group account when relevant, as well as to share fun and interesting news, events, videos, and information related to Chars in general..
-Submissions- If any artist, writer, etc. decides they would like to create something for FA-Chars or has some Char-related work they'd like to share with us, we will gladly showcase their work in our gallery! :3 We cherish any contributions, no matter what the skill level of the artist. After all, any work that appreciates Chars, WE appreciate!
-?- Who knows what else might pop up over time? If this group really takes off, we might be holding contests and other fun events. Only time will tell...
