( please look forwards to pictures!)
Now our pack Is growing, please look forwards to the picture,
We've had more wolves before but they've been either released into the wild or have passed on from injury (all our wolves are rescue, and not all injuries can be healed.) or old age.
Kiba we've had him since he was six weeks old, we nursed him with a bottle until he was able to eat proper food, he shows some wolf behaviors but he can't be put into the wild unfortunately.
sativa was hit by a car and brought into us, she is very much a feral wolf x but she loves us, (after gaining trust of course) she was sent into the wild on the mainland, and surprisingly somehow ended up back on the island and back at the wolf recovery center doorstep several months later.
rocky was released early last year in the mountains and forest. 6 months later he was on our doorstep looking at me with those big brown eyes like i was his only hope. So we've kept him here to help with the other wolves to adapt and heal. he was recently adopted into my mothers home where he is going to happily live out his life spoiled and loved.
We have released Many other wolves into the wild and have only heard good news from their radio collars and sightings. our grand total in my area of canada of the great west coast we have saved and sent back almost 100 wolves in the past 4 years hurray!
We are also opening a bigger wolf sanctuary, rescue, and education center, feel free to check it out, we are non profit and run the place off donations and what funds we earn ourselves. http://www.Arcadiancollective.ca Or https://www.facebook.com/arcadiancollective.ca We are in the process of trying to raise 600 000 dollars to buy an plot of land with over 160 acres for our wolf rescue. we take donations of all shapes and sizes from items we can auction off or sell for a minimum donation to small dollar donations. we also do fund raisers monthly with our current wolf ambassadors.
