Who exactly is Fayywin?

I am afraid that is a very complicated question, one that I'll try to shed some light on. On a strictly factual nature, Fayywin is the main character in a story I have been writing for quite some time. Though his story may never see the light of day, in many respects I wrote his story to shadow my own life. Over the years I've used Fayywin as a pseudo for various local writing and poetry contests as well as a few gamer tags here and there. Through Fayywin I am able to bolster my normally reclusive and shy manor that would prevent me from doing things other people find easy (like signing up here and writing a profile) If you'd like a really good idea about what its like to be me, take some time to look up the INFJ personality. It fits Fayywin and me very closely.

So... you are just a pseudonym?

After a fashion aren't we all? All rhetorical and philosophical questions aside, I would have to say yes, though, I am as much a part of Fayywin as he is me. There may or may not have been some college recruiters looking for a Fayywin...

Ok... So what does "Fayywin" do in his life?

I am an IT professional by trade. Long hours and complex situations are my normal day to day grind. No I will not fix your computer... just kidding, ask nicely and I'd be glad to offer whatever help I can. During my off hours, I enjoy gaming. It's one of the only escapes I have after a long day at work particularly after a stressful day. There's something to be said about jumping into the virtual world to vanquish foes or explore the universe in a ship you've made.

When I am not gaming, I do enjoy plucking words from the ethereal medium. I love to evoke feelings with words. Regrettably my muse has been on strike for several months now, hopefully reading some stories here will spurn her back into action. Yes my muse is a she.

When I am not working, gaming or writing, I like to take long trips to ground myself as far off the beaten path as possible. I am after all a creature of solitude. I've been known to vanish for weeks while I go off into the wilderness. My hiking boots have well over a thousand miles on them and I've been to some pretty incredible places on this planet. Especially some breath taking mountain tops and mind blowing caves.

That is Fayywin in a nutshell. He may not have found his wings yet but we both together have seen and done some pretty awesome things. Perhaps if he's feeling brave enough to share here, you will get to see and read about them too.
