Hey everyone this is Fido here and time for a another touch base update journal, which i think has become annual at this point. but its best to catch up with you guys still here and enjoying my work, despite that my focus is more on other things besides posting art and other new stuff on DA or FA nowadays. So i figure i should write this up before going on my annual vacation to see family next week.

Art and Computer stuff

Mostly been busy, still shopping around for the best programs, testing them, and learning how to use them, and also some side projects. Most of which has hit a major snag due to windows updates that seems to be holding my drivers for sounds, Bluetooth, and even display adaptors hostage with a 0x800703f1 thus trapping my updates in a endless loop and not be able to sync my headphones or tablet to Bluetooth, no volume or sound, or play certain games or use certain programs. As if dealing with corrupted updates isn't bad enough, my computer decides it's best to format my 1 tb portable hard drive f to a local hard drive b. And lose my hard work, games, programs, and the stuff that I had stored over the years into . I tried to follow these youtuber computer fix tutorials the best i can. as well remove stuff to make room for the updates. hoping that would fix the problem. but it seems to either not work or make things even worse.

Bright side, i can say i got my laptop to read portable hard drives again so i am adding my stuff and restore backups from another old portable drive to a new 2tb drive i bought and i am able to find a volume and bluetooth work around that seems to do doable for now via steam link via my tablet. Now i would not say the laptop i have been working with is on its last legs, i had this MSI laptop for 4 years and most of the health readings comes up as healthy. So, i still think i can do something to fix this. even if it most likely means Download the ISO and update my laptop that way and see if that fixes it. So yeah, i would be working on my creations and projects, haven't been this temporary setback i had to deal with for a couple of days.

IRL stuff

Other then that, also busy with IRL stuff such as bible studies on Monday and Wednesday, with the occasionally reading of 2 or 4 chapters with my mom on certain nights. Also started going bowling on certain tuesdays where its a $5 game day at my hometowns bowling alley. Going to the bowling alley is something I used to do back in the 2000s and early 2010 days. It would usually be me, my mom, my dad,and some friends. Then we barely came when wii sports became a thing. Then it closed permanently in 2019 after the earthquake damages. Then now it got reopened in October 2024 after some renovations and adding new stuff like a extended arcade, golf simulator, bounce house, I think there's also added a mini golf course and golf simulator too. But we've been bowling there since Tuesday. Because of the $5 game deal, so it's great to revisit the alley every now and then. That out of the way, there is also the occational town errands and grocery shopping. so you most likely get why time for creating things has been put on a big backburner for DA and FA. with only time for studies on programs as well as discord with most of you guys, my friends.

Vacation

As I'd mention in the beginning of this entry, i will be going on a flight this coming Tuesday to see my family over in Oklahoma and Kansas once again for a couple of days near the end of September(including my birthday on the 29th) and the beginning of October, visit everyone there, maybe ask my sister for addition help on my laptop, also have to go to my nieces wedding on October 4th before leaving for the flight back home on the 5th. I just hope i don't get motion sickness from all this traveling to the Ontario airport and all this flying like last time. especially with the one going home having more stop overs and plane changes at 2 Texas airports between Dallas and Houston before going back to Ontario airport in California and hopefully these new allergy pills and motion sickness wristbands we bought will remedy these motion sickness issues because that were not fun to deal with. i am not much of traveling person as well a flying person. but i will have a good time.
