My life, and what to expect
4 years agoSo, some things you should know about me.... well I'm Male and straight (rare breed, right?) and I used to do a ton of work at conventions. I would build and place and decorate pretty much everything you see at one. I also knew how to drive and operate all sorts of heavy machinery. That is, until the Jan of 2019.
It was my day off, and I was putting in a new sink in my family's kitchen when all of a sudden I started to feel like I was going to pass out. Long story short, I got asphyxiated to the gas from our stove. (Apparently the gas has the ability to paralyze your olfactory lobe. Much good that rotten egg smell does, right?) It was only leaking a little bit, but it was enough to completely ruin my life. Now, I'm trying to find other methods of living, while also trying to outrun my doomsday clock. According to my research, there's very few studies that have been done on natural gas inhalation, and every test you do appears normal, so it is extremely difficult to get diagnosed. Ergo, no answers and no disability, which also means no unemployment compensation either. There also, is no viable human cure (animal testing sure, but I'm trying to stay hopeful). To say 2019-2020 has been rough would be an understatement, there are times I thought I may die, and there were times I wished for death and it would not find me. But now I am going through another wave, and I can't think of anything except "I refuse to die! I WANT to KEEP on living!!!" As such, some of these days are.... horrifying to say the least, but I'm going to keep at it because there are still things I want to do in life ( Like seeing the sequel to Zootopia, and all the new Star Wars shows coming out. :P )
So I guess I'll just put a disclaimer here, if you don't see any activity from me for quite some time. There could be a good chance that I have finally succumbed to my ailment. But I just want anybody reading this to know, that when I first felt like I was going to die, it was peaceful. I was content, and felt like I had done what I wanted and needed to in life. I'm religious (I'm not perfect, I'm well aware of that, but I keep trying to be my best even though I slip up at times), and as such I had just enough time to make my peace before I felt the end draw nigh. (Good news, I bounced back) But to be clear, I only felt this way near death because I lived a life that was based around living with few regrets. A regret is something that makes you despise yourself, or keeps you awake at night. So my hope for you, dear listener, is for you to live your life in a way that removes those regrets and replaces them with worthwhile and wholesome memories. Don't go losing sleep over mistakes you have made. Fix them while you can, and try your best to be able to live with yourself at the end of each day. That's how you live a happy life. Service, kindness, and people can add to it if you know how to go about it, but at the end of the day, you are the one you have to live with. So I implore you, try to be better than you were yesterday, and if you make that routine, you will find that you will be more impressive and happy than you ever thought you could be. Find what makes life worth while to you, and always remember...
Dress how you want the world to see you.
Cuz if you die in those clothes, that's how ur ghost is gonna look.....forever 0.0
Naw, I'm just kidding about that last part! But someone did tell me that once, and I thought it was kind of funny. Anyway, I hope to keep making some more content for you guys (and for me). Hopefully, I'll be sticking around for a while, but who knows! I've always noticed the Lord has funny ways of making things work. Let's see where the future will take us!
