Here I am at the beginning of another month with another monthly journal update, in the event that anyone keeps up with these besides me. Eh, still feels helpful for me to put my thoughts into words just for myself if nobody else. For me personally this past month has been fine, with the biggest complaint being that work is actually giving me not enough hours. The extra free time has been nice though, however it hasn't actually translated to much additional writing for erotica; instead it's mostly been towards other things in my life. The troubling news about a relative that I mentioned in my last journal entry has thankfully not manifested into anything bad, at least that I know of. I also got to attend a protest for the first time in my life, which felt good, even if I doubt anything productive will actually come of it, unfortunately. Also, that time dilation I was feeling at the start of the year seems to have mostly tapered off now; March still felt a little long to me, but not by a lot.


Anyway, so as I expected, this last month I only finished four short stories, two personal, and two requested. Only the first, one of the requested ones, hit the number of favorites I normally expect, while the other three fell a bit short. I did feel overall kind of mentally and emotionally worn out and recovering this last month, so perhaps that impacted my writing more than I realized. The numbers still don't bother me anyway though. The requested stories have been going well on my side of things in creating them.

As for this coming month, I've got my hopes up, at least a little bit. I'm feeling better, if still a little bit 'too many spinning plates' overwhelmed, but at least right now it actually feels less daunting than before. Like yeah, I'm still not caught up to where I would like to be on a metaphorical sense, but it feels like it's coasting along more easily now. Work giving me few hours doesn't seem to be ending any time soon, and I'll have a week off of work for my birthday at the end of April/start of May, though again I can't guarantee this will translate into a lot of writing. Progress on the next long story is going well, and I think it's possible that I might have it done before the end of the month, though I would not quite bet on it. I think it'll be at least close to done if not all the way done by then.


Okay, it feels like I wrote a lot of words without saying much at all, and I can't think of much else to add, so it's probably a good time for me to wrap up this entry. If you read through my idle ramblings of putting my thoughts into words like it's some sort of self-therapy session, then I thank you for your time, and I hope you have a good April, with fingers crossed for some milder weather.
