Hey there! (Introduction)
Alright, so I think it's about time I actually introduced myself.
My name is Aaron, or Foxtrot, Whichever you want to call me works.
I actually got the nickname "Foxtrot" from an old place I used to work. I used to work as a Team Lead at an Urban Combat Training Center, and while I was there, I wore a fox tail and made ears into my hat. (Cause, ya know, I'm a furry. duh.) While I was there, I would build and run scenarios for customers to practice, (Home invasions, EDP's, Active Shooters, Ect.) The excuse I made was, it was there for "Target Identification". So if I was on the floor, on someone training saw me and noticed the ears or tail, they would know to not shoot/engage me. (It hurts to get hit by training rounds...) It turned out to be a great excuse, cause I noticed a significant decrease in my ass getting shot.
So, while wearing the tail and ears became the norm for me and my co-workers, One of my buddies acted as if he had an epiphany, and started calling me "Foxtrot", and well...It stuck. Can't say I didn't like it, cause now I had a cool nickname at work. "Foxtrot" became my official callsign there and I was even labeled as such on the official website for the place.
Yes, My co-workers all eventually learned why I actually wore the tail and ears, and they found it hilarious at first, but they accepted it and moved on. You'd be surprised how accepting a lot of former military guys are. One of the guys I used to work with, even gave me a "Fox" patch, which I keep on me nearly everywhere I go.
This was a few years ago, and now my life is a bit different.
Today, I am Enlisted in the USMC, and am stationed overseas. While I can't be as free expression as I was at my old job, I have that Fox patch I was given and wear it proudly. I'm sure ya'll will see it eventually.
As for me being an artist, I'm gonna be honest...I am not very good. I used to be on DeviantArt and SoFurry, posted some art there, went to some conventions and people told me I needed Furaffinity. Well, I made one but ended up never using it for several years. I guess you can say I got bored one day and decided to finally start uploading onto here. I cannot for my life, do digital art. I'm a lot better with a pencil. So you're most likely going to not see any digital art from me unless I get REALLY bored and actually learn to do it.
My activity varies on whats going on in life. Sometimes I'm busy for months, sometimes I only work a day. That's just how life is at the moment. So if I don't instantly reply, or reply for a couple of months, I'll be back eventually.
Anyways, can't wait to meet ya'll and hope you enjoy what I have to share. Stay fuzzy!
