Commission Updates <3 (G)
If you've been contacting me about commission quotes recently and I've been slow to reply for the past week or two, apologies - I've got about 3-4 commissions in my backlog that have taken a bit longer than I expected, so I don't want to take payments from anypony until I'm ready to *start* on their work.
I do still think I'll be able to finish these up quickly and get back into the regular swing of things, but it's really really important to me that if I build a waitlist, it not be something where you've paid for a commission and are waiting for updates.
It just keeps things safer for everypony <3
I typically break my commissions into a few different categories.I have:
❤ On-stream commissions: (it's effectively impossible for me to fall behind on them because they all get done live in singular sessions)
❤ Off-stream commissions: I am much more careful about taking these on.
❤ Long/Intermittent commissions: These are commissions for ongoing projects that are paid for across multiple months - longer comics like Dragon Ferry, the Glass Belly Chimera, etc.. I will typically only take 3 or 4 of these on at a time and I try to prioritize getting in at least a minimum amount of work on them every month, fitting them in around my more normal commission schedule.
My backlog right now is mostly focused on off-stream commissions. I have a few pieces that will probably take a few days at most of focused work, but between taxes/chores and an increased interest in on-stream commissions, I've had trouble getting in the focused sessions I need to finish them. I'm about a week behind on where I'd like to be with them.
If a commission starts taking longer than I expected (for example, if I plan to finish it in a week and then get to the end of the week and it's halfway done) what I will effectively do is hold off on giving brand new estimates or taking payments for other commissions until I catch back up. That's where we are right now - there are a number of commissioners who have asked for pieces who are waiting on price estimates from me; which again I apologize for, I know it's no fun to to be excited about a piece and have to wait to get more information about availability and details.
A big part of this is also that I don't charge for consultations - I will usually talk over a piece with potential commissioners and get a really good sense of what they want the piece to be before quoting them a price. So it's not something where I can drop you price and then just leave for a month without getting back to you.
Again, that doesn't mean that I've forgotten you - but I would *MUCH* rather have you send in a commission form and wait for a response, than have you send a payment and wait for a response. <3 I think that's safer for everypony. It makes it very difficult for me to fall too far behind on commissions, because we don't start exchanging money until I know that I'm going to be ready to start drawing very soon.
If you want to follow my current queue, check out https://foxyoreos.netlify.app/schedule/ <3
Specifically, I plan to finish:
- Hiding a Prince (should finish today)
- Unwilling Pred
- Rayquaza/Sylvion vore
- Anon Birthday Piece
before I start more off-stream commissions. I'll still be doing on-stream commissions, but I may pull back on them as well throughout the next week to get more time to catch up on these (and to manage other chores).
I don't have a stream schedule on my site (working on it <3), but my expectation is that I'll have 1-2 hours tonight on an anonymous piece, and that Monday's stream will be dedicated to Dragon Ferry (if you're an OC on Dragon Ferry, check your delivery page, I've been doing monthly updates!).
And of course, if you have sent me messages about estimates or commission ideas and it's been a little while since you've heard from me, it is not rude to message again and ask for updates (as long as it's not like multiple times a day lol X3). You never need to feel anxious about that <3

OTHER UPDATES
❤❤❤
I have a number of other projects I'm working on as well, including some software releases, more news on the Jungle (the Twine vore game I'm working on), and some other fun stuff <3
I hope to have a more general update about those projects soon, but similarly to the above, commissions are always going to take priority, so if I get behind on my current queue, I'm always going to prioritize catching up before releasing larger general updates.
But I did want to give this update, because I try very hard to respond to messages quickly and to not leave potential commissioners in limbo - so I wanted to make sure critters know that if you've messaged me and not gotten a reply, it doesn't mean that I'm ghosting you, it just means that I'm making sure that I get updates out first to critters who have already paid and that I have more immediate obligations to first. And the good news it that it means you can have confidence that when I do get back to you, I'll be able to give you full attention and that you won't have to worry about your commission getting backlogged <3
