With all the rains and floods, the GM of the Quad City River Rats has announced today that Hormel Park will not be ready to go for the team's home opener.

Sand barriers have currently kept water out of the ballpark itself, but there is no telling how long they can hold, plus the parking lots around the stadium are 75% submerged.

The Rats instead will be playing their home games at Wapello County Stadium, the home of the Wapello Valley University Braves and the FCAA College Furry Series, in Ottumwa, IA until further notice.

While County Stadium doesn't hold over 45,000 like Hormel Park, it's capacity of 31,400 is the largest of any college-owned ballpark in the FCAA.
