Gemstone Heroes is an 8-episode story, written in Screenplay Format and told with illustrations. It is a story about furries, superheroes, identity, family, principles and existence. It is written and illustrated by trained screenwriter and furry artist, John Vogel.

Story Premise
"Will is a young otter with dreams to make it big as a journalist. He wants to find out what happened to his beloved idols, The Gemstone Heroes. They were a band of superheroes that disappeared a few years ago after an international scandal kicked their true motivations into the spotlight. Upon his move to the big city to start as an intern at a magazine, he finds that his dream is going to be harder to achieve than he thought. However, a chance discovery in an antique shop might tip that balance; he might just have superhero powers himself!"

This project aims to entertain readers and furry artwork lovers, but also raise awareness of the awesomeness of Screenplay writing as an art and craft. There should be more of it in this fandom, and I hope this inspires those furry writers out there to write their own.
