Nothing like waking up and having that age-old debate: Anxiety or Heart Attack?

Yeah, this was not a fun Friday. Woke up with chest pain. It was not the anxiety sorta chest pain I'm well familiar with, nor was it heartburn. Given heart issues run in the family, I decided medical help was needed. My parents ('cause they both insisted on going despite me only needing one to drive) accompanied me to the ER. We were there most of the day with me getting poked and prodded and scanned and tested.
They figured out what it wasn't. Ruled out all sorts of Bad Things that can cause chest pain. Ultimately they concluded "we don't know" and sent me home. Which is good, really. Whatever's causing the pain isn't deadly. Still hurts a bit, but OTC pain meds should handle things.

So now I've got the bill to worry about. $500 paid up-front. Who knows how much the bill for all the scans and tests will come to. Staff were awesome, and didn't hesitate to hook me up with the financial aid paperwork. I gotta read through all that tomorrow. Too tired, stressed, relieved, and just generally out of sorts to deal with it today.
