Any tips on art ideas?

Each day either after work or after school I always want to find motivation to doodle, but I always end up watching videos on my IPad. Do any of you guys have any tips for how to become more inspired? I'll take anything. I've had all sorts of ideas, yet can't get myself around to getting anything doodled, and when I do pull out my sketch pad what I want to draw doesn't start off how I want it to, so I just give up. Meeeeeehhhhhhhhh!!! This makes me sad! HALP!
