Introduction (G)
Hello to all, my name’s Hodge! I’ve been following the furry fandom for about 2-3 years now, and I’m looking to connect with more of the fandom. My main interests are art and video games, although I like hearing about what others are interested in and I’m open to trying new things. I’m normally a pretty shy person, but so far I’ve met some very nice and amazing people and I’m hoping to meet many more here. My fursona is currently a dog/lizard hybrid, or a dizard.
For the longest time I have had a great interest in video games and what goes into making them. After many rough attempts to get into programming I decided that I most liked what digital art had to offer, so I focused on getting better at using programs like Adobe suite and other (less expensive) programs like them. Right now my art is geared towards character design, but in the future I want to do things like landscapes and intense scenes. I also want to build a world and/or story to go with some of these characters - maybe make a comic of sorts.
My goal for this account is to use it to further my art style and perhaps story writing. I’m not sure how often I’ll post here. It takes me a while to get a piece the way I like it. If any of you are artists and you happen to see my work, any critiques or helpful tips that I could use to improve would be greatly appreciated. I have an associate’s in graphic design, but I know there’s still a lot to digital art that I’m not familiar with.
I look forward to getting to know all of you! Here’s to a new year and the start of a brand new adventure!
Art things that I work with regularly:
• Photo Explosion (VERY primitive, and limited, photo editing program)
• Inkscape 0.91 (free vector-based program)
• Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet
• Samsung Galaxy Tab A w/ Autodesk sketchbook pro app
• Sketchbook/paper and pencil
